You are not a cool parent if you let your kid play M rated games. It's not only parents that don't care, but more-so parents that want to be friends with thier kids or the cool mom or dad. The absence of blood and cursing does not matter when your sawing a humanoid character in half with a chainsaw bayonet! Of course an 8 year old isn't going to act out in front of a parent (hopefully). The potential problem is when the kid is a teenager and is not around parents and decides to curb stomp someone they don't like at school! You've been warned! Follow the ratings system! M is for mature, which means 18 years and up!!! Oh yeah, and blaming your kids behavior on a video game is even worse. You'll just look like an uneducated societal wart. There are plenty of other things young kids should be doing! Sports! Music! Studying!
