Often times, I try to experience some new thing; new game, new music, new experience but most of the time they are just outside of what I can take so much of - like beer, it's not bad but I can't get into it by drinking it day after day, but some people can't seem to get the hang of the taste of coffee. Newer experiences (not just with brews) but mostly anything else, and it makes me wonder if you get into something different will it make you more common to what it is? One such example is, if I really want a great song or music from a video game, there are particularly 2 choice I will often go...Turn Based RPGs, or Action games (maybe 2D platformers). It has become quite clear to me that many Turn Based RPGs have incredible soundtracks...and while I have not played as many as I wish I could have there remains a gap to where I have not ventured with RPGs. Though I will say, not all games that are RPGs, fit with this example and I am talking about certain games that have great music...throughout!!

With that said, number 15 is one that I appreciate and I sure y'all do too. It's a catchy song and is neither fast, nor is it one of those slow orchestral songs, it falls right in there as being a great one. Number 15 is Slam Shuffle (Zozo's Theme), from Final Fantasy 6 for the SNES. Although the game's name was first titled as Final Fantasy 3 for the Super Nintendo, years later Squaresoft, or Square-Enix as they are now recognized as push out the uncommon Japanese games, resulting in the US version of FF3 to be properly referred to as Final Fantasy 6. This song is the theme from the city Zozo with the actual name of it being Slam Shuffle, and it's a good one for running through the shady town, running up many level of stairs, and being a enemy infested town in which the truth is...a lie; no cake intended. Whether the song stuck, or the level of the game stuck, Slam Shuffle helped identify a strong urge of what the town consisted of, the shady character you met and the atmospheric blend of the music to better understand the place., and it was this place right before the game took the story to greater heights.

Making it just 1/4 of the way, things will be getting more interesting; better songs, more memorable games, more variety of the systems. The next one will be posted sometime during Friday and I feel like even though #15 took a different approach with the sound, #14 is something I'm sure you could relax over and maybe a few drinks...unless your idea of relax and chill with a drink is some sort of COUNTRY, then no, not like that. Also check below for previous Top 20 Video Game Songs; all song names are provided with an audio link by Youtube (unless the video so happens to be removed)

@gorobu - Gots to love the Spark Man!

@theslimdavylp - Back when the music was good, the characters were beautifully pixelated, and the games were very easy to enjoy.
