Sad, Pathetic, Disappointing, Predictable.

Oy. Where do I begin on this one? There were more cliches, and bad plot lines, than there were total Aliens in this movie.

First there was the cliche loner ex-con who *just* got back to town from serving a stint in jail, whose best friend is now the local sheriff. And he really is a good guy deep down who winds up saving everyone.

Second, there was the poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks forced to bring pizza to the rich chick he likes.

Third, there was the rich chicks dumb cliche, token blond bad-haired football player with the two dumb football player dummies with no lines who all gang up on said poor kid and beat him up. Oh, and the blond boyfriend turns out to be the biggest wimp in the entire town. Oh my...

Fourth, the woman who just got back from serving somewhere. They were trying very hard to turn this woman in to a Ripley type character. She had a little girl she was trying to protect that was almost a stranger to her because she had been away for so long. They had her running around in a tank top with the curly hair pulled back, so that if you were drunk enough you'd swear it was Ripley.

Fifth, the shady government group either trying to cover up the mishap, or control it for their own benefit (biological weapons). I really really wanted to smack the one lady who exclaimed "The government wouldn't lie to it's people!!". Which country was this filmed in?! Oh my god!

The Alien-Predator was actually a neat new alien. Unfortunately due to bad lighting and constant rain you couldn't see very much, but you could make out the bad CG every now and then. I guess that's why the movie was so dark.

The movie was just badly put together, and extremely disappointing. The first 5 minutes was the only good thing about it. The plot didn't flow very well, and it didn't explain very much.

Oh, and don't get me started on the part with the killing of babies, and pregnant women. That part was just sick to the point of crossing the line. I don't care if some director or producer is trying to be bold and push the envelope. There are limits, and that is a big one.

The original first 4 Alien movies were better than this. Even Alien:Ressurection. Which should give you an idea how bad this movie is.

Glad I never actually paid to see it.
