Well, I just got home from Roskilde festival 2008. It was awesome, except for the fact that I was sick all week. Really bad luck, considering I haven't been sick for a year It was still good fun though. Also, Chemical Brothers live = epic win!

Anyway, I just saw a decent deal on a Nintendo Wii and SSBB for $460. Yeah, yeah, I know it may seem like much for you americans, but that's what the wii usually costs here with no aditional games. A wii game usually goes for $85-$95, while 360 and PS3 games are $105-115. I also ordered Super Mario Galaxy, which I've been wanting to try for a good while now.

Tbh, I'm not the biggest wii fan. Frankly, I think it's a damn shame it was built with lastgen hardware, cause let's be honest here, most wii games look rather pathetic. I have a big HDTV, so why shouldn't I be able to enjoy my games to the fullest? Well, I'm not going to let that ruin my fun, and I still have my PS360 for HD gaming. Wii will be great for parties and games like SMG, I'm sure.

^ Wii share the same concern with the Wii's graphics. HDTVs tear Wii games apart. lol

Hope you enjoy that Wii more than wii are over here. The console, or what I dub the toy of this generation, doesn't get a lot of love here. But now that you own all three consoles, you can't be called a fanboy right?....Right? Nevermind. This is Gamespot.

wii's are cool, but I geuss you could say they're not the best

My friend play his Wii on his HDtv.. to be honest, I really couldn't tell the differences. lol. Having said that and most importantly, you get the Wii not because of its graphical capability but really for the game-play and unique experience when friends are all partying, busting their moves on your Wii games.

@Symphony: Haha, yes, I'm sure some people will find a way to call me a fanboy anyway
I do hope I'll enjoy it, although I'm still a bit skeptical. 3rd party support seems pretty much nonexistent and there's really only a handful of games I'm interested in... but as long as nintendo can produce some more quality titles in the future, I'm not too bothered. At least I still have my PC, PS3 and 360 to fall back on if Wii turns out to be **** hehe

@rogerjak: meh

@PrincesTwilight: They certainly aren't the best, as far as I'm concerned. But that doesn't mean you can't have fun with them.

@Thomas-Crown: Yeah, partying + unique experience! That's what I'm mostly expecting from my Wii. And, let's be honest, it IS fun at parties

@EPaul: I hope brawl will be good. I've never tried a smash bros before, so even if it's like some of the others, it wont matter to me

Yeah, I'm not too big on the Wii, but I'm glad it's getting gaming out there.
If you buy, don't regret it!
If the Wii would have had next gen graphics, it would be more expensive and it wouldn't have sold as well. At least that's what I think.

Holy crap, PS3 and 360 games costs that much over thereO_o?!? NIce deal on that Wii though and now you have all three consoles of this generation.

@Chaos: No it probably wouldn't have sold as well. I would have liked it more though I think it'd also get a lot more 3rd party attention if it was a bit more powerful.

@game_masta14: Yeah it's really expensive. I import my games from the UK and save about $30-35 on every game though, which is sweet
