Coen Brothers are certianly back on form this film is among there best.

The best football movie ever but still a bit boring. Sheen is awesome.

This movie makes no sense all it was, was a man hitting people for 2 hours.

Tarrantino is back to his best here. This is one of his best movies.

A fun movie with two decent performances from Washington and Travolta. If your looking for a fun action flick this year watch this.

First off if you read my blog yesterday you already know I loved this film but I kind of new it was going to be good. Public Enemies may not be for everyone it is a dark film much like last summers The Dark Knight, if your bored of watching robots and superheroes fighting each other than this is the movie you would want to go see. There is many fine performances from the cast most notably from Johnny Depp who could be in with a run in with a Oscar nomination for his performance as John Dillinger, Dillinger robs banks and is the most wanted man in America, him and his gang travel America hitting banks every where so then Christian Bale's character Melvin Purvis has to arrest him and his gang, the movie opening hlaf hour has some of the best Tommy gun action I have seen ever after all the shooting Dillinger meets a girl called Billie Frechette played by the brilliant Marion Cotillard, The best acted scenes in the film are between these two actors and it makes for good change after a lot of shooting. Public Enemies is by far the best movie of the year and I think this may be difficult to beat. Michael Mann's directing is superb although I think he could have gave a bit more time to Dillinger's gang. I have not mentioned much of Bale so I will. His acting was what I expected and not much of a departure from what you may have already seen him in, he plays another cold character in which he plays those type of roles really well. You will be surprised that Depp and Bale have only one scene together with dialogue but this was a fun scene between the two actors.

The best part of the film comes about forty five minutes towards the end in which there is a massive gunfight between Dillinger's gang and the cops, It lasts for about fifteen to twenty minutes of cat and mouse running and tommy gun firing. I particularly liked Stephen Graham's scenes here, he portrays Baby Face Nelson, Nelson is probably the evilest out of the crew and Graham plays him well although it was funny sometimes when his voice would change from New York to Liverpool. Public Enemies is about 140 minutes long but it seemed to fly by when I watched it, There was many memorable moments that makes this film different to other gangster films and it was great to see Michael Mann back on form after the very poor Miami Vice. There was a surprisingly small role for Channing Tatum, I didn't even notice it was him but he was only in the film for about five minutes, he played Pretty Boy Floyd.

Overall Public Enemies was a fantastic take on Dillinger and his gang, it never disappoints with some great action sequences and fantastic acting from the entire cast. Best movie for a long time 10 out of 10.

That's right I just had a conversation with myself but all for the good of pointing out that John Noble is a talented actor. Now like I said he was Denethor on the fianl Lord Of The Rings (He was also in the extened cut of The Two Towers) and he was great in that, he played a powerful man that was corupted by evil and he could possibly have the best death scene in the whole trilogy.

Lately we have seen him on our screens in JJ Abrams newish show Fringe he plays Walter Bishop. Walter was a former scientist that has been locked up for years due to his mental expriments. Noble is great as the wacky Walter he makes Walter a beleavible character that creates most of the shows comic scenes with his random outburst to his strange comments.

From playing Jayne Cobb to Major John Casey, Adam Baldwin has been on our TV screens for years starring in Firefly and Chuck and making apearences in episodes of some of the top US shows such as CSI, Bones, NCIS, The X Files and so much more. He is great at playing the tough guy in Chuck maybe hes to good at doing it, He is my favourite character on the show I love the way Casey is the Bully but also has a soft side (although we dont see it often).

So lately I have made myself a promise to review more actors on this site and by lately I mean now. So to get started who better than the best actor on TV who plays one of the best characters on TV on the best show on TV, It's none other than Michael Emerson a talented and two time Emmy award Nominee actor. Now this man should have those two Emmy's for sure. He is awesome as Ben Linus on Lost he has created a very unique character that is unpredictable and menacing. Is Ben a villain? Who know? What we do know is that he is acted out superbly by Emerson and that Lost wouldn't feel right without him. When I re watch the show and watch season one and the first half of season two I think "I cant wait till Ben comes into it" I love the first season especially from the first time I watched it but now I wonder what the the show would be like with out this great actor well I think it wouldn't be as good as it is with him.

He is a talented actor who is totally underrated. I think he is about thirty now and I have only seen him in Chuck and now recently Curb but that dont count becuase he was in one scene. He is great at playing Chuck he is the perfect person for the role and pulls it off easy. What I have saw from interviews and other stuff Levi is down to earth. Burn After Reading is a very traditional Coen Brothers film...
A CIA agent decides to write his memoirs after being fired from the agency, is then launched into a world of political intrigue when his wife's divorce attorney steals the book and it ends up in the hands of a gym employee. Blackmail in aide of plastic surgery, national secrets, and a string of political assassinations follow.
For all you fans of the Coen Brothers films prior to No Country For Old Men (I'm not saying it was a bad movie, just saying it was very different to there previous films) your in for a real treat here. Burn After Reading is a very quick and entertaining film which will have you laughing your head off. The comedy in this movie is much more like Fargo and The Big Lebowski and there is also some strong violence like Fargo. One thing has to be said about this film, the cast is brilliant Brad Pitt steals the show as Chad a personal trainer at a local gym, he is so funny and brings a lot of the laughs to the movie, you'll see for yourselves when you watch it. George Clooney was also great in this film, I have noticed whenever George Clooney appears in a Coen Brothers film he is normally the dumb-ass so expect some laughs from good old George, oh and look out for his characters invention it's hilarious. John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton where all great too. The short appearance from J.K. Simmons was good but I thought the movie could have had his character appear in the film a bit more. Be warned the ending of the film is pretty sudden and will leave you wanting to know more, it's a lot like the ending in The Big Lebowski where your like I want to know if they won in bowling.
All in all Burn After Reading is well worth a trip to the movies to see it will leave you a bit confused but it is enjoyable and it will probably be one of the best movies of this autumn.

Ok I have seen two very simular comedy movies in the past week and it's time to find out what I think of Tropic Thunder. Great cast including Ben Stiller, Jack Black and ofcourse Robert Downey Jr. Ben Stiller is good in the film he mande me laugh a few tmes one of his better roles in my opinion. Jack Black was a bit of a dissapointment he didn't do much in the film he only had a couple of decent jokes. Robert Downey Jr was outstanding his character was the best out of the three he made me laugh loads of times. The premise of the film was simple and really funny. The movie had a great supporting cast you will see a few familur faces in there including some actors from Apatow films, Steve Coogan and Tom Cruise. Matthew McConaughey's character also made me laugh. The film wasn't as good as I expected but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. It's one of those films that show aall the best bits on the trailers. I would advise you to go see this if you want to watch a fun movie but if you haven't seen Pineapple Express already go watch that instead because it's better. Tropic Thunder gets 4 stars.

Went to see this movie today and I thought it was the funniest film I have seen all year. I'm a fan of these type of comedies anything by Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow is great and this was no exception. Seth Rogen and James Franco where hilarious on screen together. Every scene in this film was laugh out load funny from the scene where there in the woods to the one where there fighting in the house to the finale everything was really funny probably one of the funniest movies I have ever seen I you liked Knocked up, 40 Year Old Virgin and Superbad you will love this.

Kristen Bell is an awesome young actress who is currently one of the biggest stars on TV at the moment. She appeared in cult TV series Veronica Mars in which she plays the title character, I have never seen the show but I do want to see it. She has later appeared as Elle Bishop in one of my favourite shows Heroes, her character is great she is cool and sexy, her ability is so cool she can shock you, literally. The character of Elle Bishop was one of the high points in the second season of Heroes and I can't wait to see her return next season. Kristen Bell has appeared in one of two thousand and eights biggest comedies Forgetting Sarah Marshall in which she again plays the title character, Ireally liked this film and she was great in it , everything I have seen Kristen in she has been great. I'm happy and excited to see more of her in future projects.

Better late then never, here is my movie review of two thousand and eights most talked about film The Dark Knight.


Just got back from seeing this epic movie and I have to say it lives up to the hype in fact it is probably the best movie I have ever seen.

Heath Ledger's performance was amazing in this, he deserves all the praise we have been hearing all summer and it is so sad what happened to him, I knew he was a good actor but from this performance he shown how good he was and I have to say well done, at one moment he would have you laughing and then a few seconds later you would be scared silly. I wont say much about the movie because the slightest thing I say would spoil the movie so instead I will just talk about some key scenes which I enjoyed and the casts performances.


Starting with my favourite actor Christian Bale I really liked him as Batman in the first film Batman Begins and I thought he was great in this but really I was dissappointed with the screen time Bale had we did not see much of Bruce Wayne in the film and in Batman Begins we saw a lot of Bruce. In The Dark Knight we did not see much of him mainly bcause he was constantly over shadowed by The Joker and Harvey Dent who where also great as you would expect. That is the one thing in my opinoin that lets the film down, now on the up side Aaron Eckhart was great in this film he played the character Harvey Dent and I thought Eckhart did a superb job I had not seen this actor in any film but I had heard that he was good and he sure is, I have to say the Cast for this movie was great, one of the best I have seen in a movie in recent years. Being a huge fan of Lost, Heroes and Prison Break I had an extra treat in seeing the actors William Fichtner, Nestor Carbonell and Eric Roberts they were all good in the scenes they where in. Maggie Gyllenhaal was great as Rachel Dawes better than Katie Holmes in the first film. The direction again was awesome from Christopher Nolan who is becoming one of my favourite directors. There where some really great scenes in this movie ones that stood out for me where the ofcourse the big chase scene which had me on the edge of my seat, the opening scene was cool too, Hospital scene was just amazing and shocking oh and the last scene with The Joker and Batman was awesome but also chilling, there are many other great moments in The Dark Knight aw heck the whole thing is great. If you haven't seen The Dark Knight what have you been doing with your lives go out and watch it NOW! Even if you dont like Comic book movies see it because personally I would ****this as not a comic book movie it had everything action(a lot of it), horror, romance and a load of other stuff. It is the best movie out there with a chilling and comical performance from Heath Ledger.I say "Bring on the sequel". I give The Dark Knight a well deserved 10 out of 10.

Ok so Hancock, is it just me or has it been advertised for ages. Anyway that was a bit off topic, so I went to the movies and before the film I had heard some good things about Will Smith's and Jason Bateman's performances in the movie and I have to say they where both great in this. I also thought this would just be a good popcorn film and I have to say it is better than that this film was really entertaining and it was really funny in most parts. I think one of the best things about it was the script and the three leading actors were great. I usual Will Smith was great as expected and I was happy to see Jason Bateman (Arrested Development) had a major role in the film, his character was really funny, Charlize Theron also impressed me. This movie was great and it left us with hopefully a possible sequal. One critism I had with the film was that I expected there to be more action but there wasn't that much. Overal decent movie and I hope to see a Hancock 2 in the future.

Like many fans of the Indiana Jones franchise I was really looking forward to this film and in my opinion it didn't dissapoint.

Like many fans of the Indiana Jones franchise I was really looking forward to this film and in my opinion it didn't dissapoint.
Ford was great as usual, it was wierd seeing Indy a little more mature but I thought it was another great performance by him. Shia LaBeouf'S character (Mutt) was also very good in the movie, I thoughht he was one of the best things about it and the relationship between Indiana and Mutt was great.
Have to say there was some great action sequences in the film and the acting and directing awas brilliant. Only thing that lets it down was the rope swinging scen which I really did not like.

This movie I had High hopes for, It looked really funny but sadly it had not passed my expectations. The film however was still funny at times and the cast was awesome. I thought that it started well but slowed down towards the end.
