Too many new people on the Lost board tonight, so I had to switch it back to the classic, Al Swearengen. The greatest icon, greatest character, available. You can't deny!

Singularity is actually good, ed. It stokes creativity. Remember, you are our forum's future Norman Mailer/Mike Royko. (He is. Check back in your time machine in 40 years.)

I'd have more nightmares about Al Swearengen than Howdy Doody. Doody never had anyone fed to Mr. Wu's pigs.
Seth: Will I find you’ve got a knife?
Al: I won’t need no ****ing knife.

(Later)
Al: I do have a knife. It come to me now.
Course he is nice enough to stab you in front of your family...

Boy, talk about shattering stereotyping in acting careers. Ian McShane has certainly made one forget all about that British detective series called... what was it called?

I couldn't say- I'm not familiar with the show. Just with the greatest character on television.
