Last night when I was leaving the daycare after picking up Grace, one of the other mothers asked me if I wanted a dog. Of course, my head was screaming: "NO!", but my mouth sorta said: "YES!" This little dog is a full blooded, registered Teacup Pomeranian. She only weighs about 3 pounds. This other mother does rescue/foster work for dogs and cats. She explained to me that this poor little pup was rescued from a puppy breeding farm. Her only purpose in life was to make her owners money. And we are talking about TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS PER PUPPY. I was absolutely heartbroken for this tiny little creature. I believe that she has several health problems. Her front leg had been broken so she walks with a limp. Her back legs are bowed in a little, probably from having six litters of puppies. Something had happened to her tail because it is now hairless. I don't think she has had any dental work at all. Even after all that, she seems to be in good spirits. She is real sweet and I have yet to hear her make a sound. I think she just needs someone to love her. Pixie, our 6 pound mini poodle/mini pincher mix, seems to like her okay. Hopefully, this new addition to our family will like it with us. She is six years old and her registered name is Princess Diana. I'm not to keen on the name, not because of the real Princess Diana, but I just can't see myself calling after a dog: "Come here, Princess Diana!" She is white and very fluffy. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can call this new baby???
If any of you have the chance to rescue any animals from this kind of situation, DO IT! It is pure torture for these helpless animals.

I've never had a problem persuading my mom to get animals, she's always had at least four cats and a dog, all rescues of course.
Our two most recent kittens are pure bred Siamese who's breeder decided he didn't want them, and let them get sick and covered in fleas.
Who would name a a dog Princess Diana? It's so weird, and you're right, it would be so weird to have to call Princess Diana every time you want the dog to come.

She sounds lovely, and it's great you've adopted her. No ideas on names, but I wouldn't want a pet called Princess Dianna!
I have two cats from a pound, they're both less than a year
