GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con
Friday, Oct 23, 2009

Along with that arcade stick I recently picked up (as mentioned a few posts ago) with the little bit of gift-cash that had come my way at the beginning of the month, I also invested in some new video editing software. I was finally able to ditch MS Movie Maker.

I ordered Sony Vegas Movie Studio which came with Cinescore and Architect DVD authoring software.

I went with this program, as I've used Vegas before when it was released by Sonic Foundry, and found it really easy to use. So far this version is very familiar, and has a great layout with nice options. Good enough for my home movies and things like that at least. I'm not looking to produce short films or anything like that

So with my new software I put together a nice little video of me doing incredibly poorly at Taiko Drum Master.

I also learned that I need a non-slip mat under the drum. You may notice at about a minute in I have to turn the drum back to face me. It's hard to tell because of the camera angle, but there was one point I was almost hitting it side-ways, which didn't help my accuracy.

Anyway; enjoy my mediocrity

Ultimate Alliance 2 - I'm moving forward, and have completed the first mission after choosing the anti-registration side.

On the game forums, there was some complaints of glitching, one of which I did experience. I'll be keeping a couple save game files going just to be safe. Aside from that, the game is fun so far. It's not perfect, but it's enjoyable.

In my last post, I put up my review of Secret Agent Clank.

It looks really fun, especially the drum-point to the game. I find wacking a drum much more satisfying than strimming some strings to a guitar. How much did your software cost then?

Actually, they are taiko drums. I'm not joking. At least you got their favorite food right.

I always played TDM with a controller. I liked it better that way for some reason.

What are you running Vegas on? Windows or Mac? I have iMovie on my Macbook and it's great for casual video editors like me.

U r better than me man! I can't even play a song on easy in Rock Band or Guitar Hero. Well, Rock Band Unplugged is an exception. I love the original controller, not convert.

lol, awesome it has the katamari damacy song in it. It seems like the notes you have to hit have no correlation to how the actual songs though lol.

Taiko Drum Master is a really fun game! Well, I've never actually played the PS2 version but it looks enjoyable enough.
