It's always nice when we see people put trust in someone they don't know. It's friendly, and suggests that everyone in the world is not an evil criminal, as it appears the news would like us to believe from time to time. That said, I do think there is such a thing as putting too much faith in the kindness of strangers.
I was just finishing up at a cash in Zellers, during a quiet time in store. This guy comes in holding on to a large wooden rack, or collapse shelving unit or something, and his baby (who was asleep). His baby is in one of those seats that then latches into the base of a car seat, so you can remove it easily. Those things with a kid in it can get heavy, and are awkward to carry, so I felt for him. His problem was that the wood in one of the things he had just bought was broken, so he wanted to exchange it.
He tells the cashier "I'm just going to leave him here with you while I go get a new one, if that's okay." The cashier says yes, and he leaves.
Is he crazy! You do not leave your baby alone on a check-out counter with a stranger (and yes, given their dialogue, I think it was safe to assume they do not have a social relationship outside of the store). GO GET A CART!
It's things like this that make the dad's on TV commercials that don't how to cook dinner, or clean the floor look like plausible human beings.

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters - I'm STILL on the final boss level. I've manage to get a pattern figured out on his attacks and how to best use my weapons against him, and got him down to only needing 2 or 3 more hits to take him out. What sucks the most is, I use a gadget to refill my ammo mid battle, but that costs money. So, if I die too many times, I run out of money, and have to spend time going back to previous worlds to collect more. That's the most time consuming part of this whole thing. Given my progress in battle with him though, I plan to have this game finished the next time I pop it in.

In my last post I put up my review of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

I beat MUA2. My review is posted. Something I left out of my review (because I don't like talking about other games in a review, and it's speculation) is how I don't think they did a lot of evolving with this title.
I've played X-Men Legends. I skipped XML2 and the first MAU, and went right to this one (although I do plan on going back to play the others). The overall formula 3 games later wasn't all that much different from XML, which I did enjoy more. I'm thinking this series of action-RPGs from Marvel has gotten a little old, and can be put to rest for a while, unless the current-gen versions are much different in terms of game-play, from the PS2 version.
I believe the PS2 version is shorter compared to the 360/PS3 versions, by about 10 missions; I counted 28 in total for the PS2, and I think current gen has 38.
It was still fun enough to play through but it didn't blow me away. I gave it a 6.5, mostly based on how hyped I would get (or wouldn't get) while playing it, but I think there's enough content there for bigger fans of Marvel than myself to keep them more entertained.

In other gaming news, I'm on the last level of Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters. I'd like to say that I should be finished it soon, but if it's like Secret Agent Clank, I may have to level up a little bit, or save up my bolts to purchase the last big weapon, before I can take down the big boss... we'll see.

In my last post, I talked about some random weekend events.

I haven't had much to say these past few days. I'm pretty excited for the new V mini-series premiering tonight. My in-laws were in town this past weekend, so we spent a lot of time with them. They handed out the candy on Halloween while we took the kids out; the night went well, but the wind was a little cold.

MAU2 - I'm not any further in the game, but I have started my review.
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters - I'm on world 7 of 10 with this one. It's fun. The most common complaint I've heard is about the camera, and it is often too close to Ratchet, but I'm not finding it too inhibiting. There's some new weapons, and fun side missions. It's shaping up to be quite a short, but enjoyable, game.

I posted a video of some Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 footage.

ebbderelict must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could ebbderelict possibly have for not rating a single film?
