Scray thought, huh? Well, yes I'm back...I, to tell you the truth, don't even know where I have been all this time......Dang, it's been 2 months since my last "blog"...I guess this calls for an update. Don't you think? ...I started summer about6 weeks ago...And I only have a month left of summer....

FRIENDS

Well, just like every summer, my friends go and abandoned me...I should really get friends for the summer...We did see a few movies before they left (like SpiderMan 3 and such)...They left for the whole summer and I'm all alone....

SCHOOL

Oh well...I've been taking courses (the weird thing is when I used the word "classes", the system sensors out the word...) at Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) and it's been fun...For school...At PVCC I've tooken SpanishI and World Relgions (man, do I hate that class....;what? his classes is based on tests)...Well, I started again on yesterday with Spanish II (YAY for one class...)...I don't know...I want to take Psychology 101 (since I'm going to be majoring in Psychology), but things happened when I registered and I can't take it during the summer...That may be good news since I can take a whole semester of it instead of 5 weeks (at only 4 days a week)...That would be one of many classes that I'm going to take during next semester (along with English 102, Guitar, and Humanity 250)...I'm dead next year......On that note, I recieved my report card (from high school)and I got 1 C ,1 B, and 4 A's...My GPA took quite a beating this year (went from a 4.0 to a 3.7)

MOVIES & GAMING

Since the begining of the summer, I've seen plenty of moives. One of the movies, though, I had to force my friends to watch because I knew that it was going to be a sleeper hit and I told them they needed to see it. The movie was called "Knocked Up" and it was so hilarious...I first saw the commerical on AOTS (Attack of the Show on G4) and ever since I've hyped the movie and it turned out awesome! Saw Spider Man 3 (a few times) and it was awesome...Too bad the movie to mixed reactions. Finally, Shrek 3 (yes I did watch it) and I was really dissapointed in it...I was a fan of the first 2 (mainly because of Donkey...), but the thrid one was way too short and didn't amuse me as much...But it's a cash cow (in the last week in English we did a unit on advertising and my teacher used Shrek as a prime example of why it's a cash cow...You couldn't go2 steps without seeing an ad for Shrek...), so I can't wait for Shrek 4 and 5.... And I'm going to cut it here...I could go on forever with movies...As for gaming, nothing much...Just reached my first 1,000 gamerpoints on XBL and I finished Gears of War on all difficulties...But I just don't see the point of achievement points...Why are (some) poeple obessed with them? Other than that I rented Rainbow Six Vegas (PS3 version), Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, and Ninja Gaiden Black (I borrowed this one from a friend)...I'm going to pick up Ninja Gaiden Sigma and a few PSP games as soon as I get a job......Other than that nothing.

SUMMER

Okay, enough stalling...This is the true reason I am making this post...Well, every summer, I make sure I get a few things done that I couldn't really get done during the year...Last summer I had a job (and I went to New York), so I couldn't get a lot of things done...Some things are hanging out with friends (usually playing football in the park), reading, writing, gaming, watching a variety of moives, and listening to music...Since I can't go to NY this year and my friends are gone....I need some advice on what books I should get and new CDs (yes they still make those...Don't listen to those nasty rumors on the interenet...) I should get...I am a enthusiastic about all types of music (all except country; this is coming for a city-boy ). So if you would like to give advice...That would be awesome. Also, my PC is showing signs that it's dying (well the same signs that it showed me before my 10- year old Dell died) and even my brothers laptop (which is no powerful than my PC) can run a gamespot video (let alone a youtube video)...I think it's time for me to get a new PC......That means I need to get a job......I've already customized my PC (I'm getting Dell since it's more reliable; I have a 7- year old Sony Vaio)...If you know anything about PCs could you give me some advice onmy customization...Here are the stats:

XPS 710: Intel® CoreTM2 Duo processor E6320 (4MB L2 Cache,1.86GHz,1066 FSB)
Operating System: Genuine Windows VistaTM Home Premium + Belkin Easy Transfer Cable

Thank you for reading my blog (and any advice you may give me)and have a good day...Also, tell me how you've been...t's been a while since I've done one of these and I want to do a little catching up...Tell me some of you summer plans this year.... Well any help would be appriciated...

Have a FUN and SAFE Independence day and Happy Birthday Canada (even though you didn't invite me to your party...)

First off, Happy America Day. I can't really comment about your book and CD recommendation since I don't read many books and I just download music. But I can help you with your PC.

First off, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT get a Dell! Dells are BAD quality and they break easy. I have one right now and it's not working that great and it's only 2.5 years old. If you're going to get a PC, get one with the following specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo OR Intel Core 2 Extreme. At least 2.8 GHz per core, I suggest 3.2.

Windows Vista Premium.

4 GB of Dual Channel (DDR2) RAM.

Doesn't matter which monitor you get, but try to get one that supports at least a native resolution of 1600 x 1200. 1280 x 1024 is getting too outdated on my PC, and it'll probably disappear within the next few years.

For your hard drive, it doesn't really matter as this shouldn't really affect your performance on your PC, but I suggest getting at least a 100 GB hard drive.

Get any DVD reader, doesn't really matter. If you've got some money to burn, get a Blu-ray player in your PC.

If you need help with a good brand, try www.newegg.com

Later.

CDs I recommend - Tuonela by Amorphis, Dismantling Devotion by Daylight Dies, and Damnation by Opeth. Amorphis is a Gothic Metal band from Finland that uses elements of Jazz, Alternative, and a little Pop. Very good album. Dismantling Devotion by Daylight Dies is a Melodic Death Metal album, but it has very mature and dreamy elements. Heavier than Amorphis, but very good. Damnation by Opeth is a masterpiece. Opeth is a Death Metal band, but this album is their mellow 70s Pink Floyd-like album. Even if you hate Death Metal, you will love this album!

Hey, welcome back. Anyway your computer stats it seems like you will be getting an or already have an XPS? Either way the stats are good.

^ No, the processor is slow. 1.8 GHz per core is equivalent to a total of 3.6 GHz. If he's gonna wanna play games like Crysis, he'll have to have a total of at least 5.6 GHz (2.8 GHz per core). Also, I recommend the Black Rain album from Ozzy Osbourne.

I recommend "Wordplay" from a group called ApologetiX (www.apologetix.com).

You need a book? Try out "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." May be too "boring" for some kids these days but it has a wonderful story and is very well written.

Thanx, comthitnuong....I like a good story......I'll be sure to check it out.

Books? I can't recommend you many of them since I don't read much in English, but the 7th book in the Harry Potter series, even though it is not out, promises to be great. All 4 of Dan Brown books are awesome reads and my favorite trilogy is His Dark Materials by Philipp Pullman. It is a must-read.

As far as CDs go, I'd recommend only one band, and that is Dream Theater. Their new CD, Systematic Chaos, is an absolute blast. All their CDs are great, they've got nine of them at the moment:

When Dream And Day Unite, Images & Words, Awake, Falling Into Infinity, Metropolis Part II: Scenes From A Memory, Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence, Train Of Thought, Octavarium and Systematic Chaos. 5 years In A LIVEtime, Metropolis 2000: Scenes From New York, Live At Budokan and Score: 20th Anniversary World Tour are also a must-see (as they are live DVDs). You must not forget to get their EP, A Change Of Seasons.

Dell's are fine. Get a 3 year warranty, that will take care of any issues. Honestly, save yourself some money and get 2GB of RAM. There is no need for 4GB at all.

CD's: Definitely get the new Linkin Park CD. So awesome.

Books: Any by Tom Clancy or John Grisham are great reads.

Wow. That PC sure will kick ass for a long time. I really dont recommend the 8800 Ultra though. You'll be able to max out games on a 20 in monitor with a 8800 GTS 640 MB. If you really want to get the Ultra, I suggest you get a bigger monitor for pure ownage. Besides, there are hardly any DX10 games out now. And who needs a second hard drive ? Hey, I'm not saying you should not get it but if you are, you must be very rich

I suggest you take a look at the latest video card roundup in features and decide for yourself which video card gives you the most.

Welcome back, King! If you need a good laugh, pick up any part of Bob Fenster's work. He doesn't exactly write books, but he compiles TONS of true stories of people acting extremely stupid. I have all of his books, and they're all really funny.

Thanx guys...Everybody get's a thumbs up for helping me out....

The 4 GB is absolutely 100 % needed if you're getting Vista.
