Now to the Review

Modern Warfare 2 - 10/10 (Wow)

This review is not by any means fanboy based. I used to scoff at people that would say "OMG, MODERN WARFARE. ITS GUNNE BE TEH BEST". I hereby sit...defeated. Offering nothing but praise.

Modern Warfare 2...what to say, what to say. Modern Warfare 2 is more than a pleasent suprise. It is an all out, ball kicking shock. With an intense, plot twist filled story and a powerful, emotional war fought on US soil accompanied by a sorrowful soundtrack of violins in the background in combination with screams and distant explosions, Modern Warfare 2 has skyrocketed to my number 1 FPS and my GOTY.

Before I had played it, it was not even expected to reach my GOTY list. It had consisted of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Brutal Legend, And Uncharted 2. This year is such a great year for games. But unexpectidly, this game has won my vote. This game has done what I had thought was impossible: improved signiciantly upon an already significantly great game. Modern Warfare 2 does Modern Warfare 1 more than justice. It is done better in every way. Even the ending. The ending is intense, dramatic, and overall just completely awesome. The two (maybe a third part if you count a certain section on a certain runway) where you control a vehicle are superb. During the well known snowmobile mission (which is about the second mission in the game) it had me singing the james bonds song, and completely enjoying the experience.

The game, like MW1 and WaW, both have you playing as more than one character. This game has you controlling a total of about 4 or 5 characters, though it goes as short as one play lasting about 2 minutes for the sake of the view. Going through this review without giving away game making plot points and twists is hard. I want to tell someone so badly. The only ones I know that know what happens are the two friends I experienced this game with.

This game is not to be missed. If you like FPS, play it. If you have doubts, don't. If you love epic set pieces (dodging falling helicopters, anybody?), play it. The game's set pieces are nearly on par with Uncharted 2's, which is saying a whole lot. Actually, I would say the set pieces are as close to Uncharted 2's as you can get in an FPS. It comes down to this:

You. Must. Play. This. Game.

I cant forgive you if you don't. Lol.

Side note (Controversy): Now, the whole shooting civilians...it is true and a lot more terrible than i had seen in the small clip. I don't find it offensive, more shocking. When you insert the game, it does prompt you about the level without giving away specifics, and you can choose not to include the mission, though it is not recommended. It is part of the game experience and if you can't ((Minor spoiler below))

handle an airport incident in Moscow, good luck with US Soil-based war.
