Hello all. So I've been in Lebanon now for around a week and I must say I like it a lot; I'm starting to get used to the area around me and getting to learn different places and landmarks to make life easier. I've also been to my university a few times and I seriously love it already; the campus is huge and beautiful and I can imagine myself still loving it in the 7 years that I'm gonna stay in the uni. but (there always has to be a but) the only problem is that most of my potential classes are in the lower campus and to get there you have to go down over 100 steps which should also be lovely in the winter under all the rain and through the wind and cold air -.- Another thing about the uni is that it is filled with cats!! like maybe almost 100 of them and the uni actually takes care of them and fines anyone who hurts or abuses them

I've also been staying in my studio this past week and it is AWESOME! I couldn't have imagined better. My PS3 fit perfectly next to the HDTV they provided for me so the gaming part is all set and everything in general is just great. I have my own balcony. There's also a pool on the roof and the gym in the basement which due to my laziness I doubt I'll ever use

I still haven't found Scribblenauts or Mario and Luigi which kinda sucks but I guess all I can do is wait. Also, I checked Virgin Megastore here for games and they were around 80$!!! which I won't pay even if the game is made of God so I'm gonna have to wait until I go back to Abu Dhabi to stock up on games and Christmas seems like the perfect time to buy gifts

so here are a few pics of my studio here in Lebanon, let me know what you think.

Like a lot of my blogs, it has been a while since my last post; technically all summer to be exact. So nothing much is new, I've only bought one game this summer: Batman: Arkham Asylum on the PS3 and what a game that was, one of the best in 2009 so far and one of the few games where I really want a sequel. I also plan to buy Scribblenauts soon since it looks like a really interesting and intuitive game.

In other news, I leave to Lebanon for university in a week to get settled down before Orientation the week after. I got my own studio which I'll probably post pics of as soon as I get the chance I dunno how many of you have left your homes and gone to college but I can't imagine it being an easy thing to do, I mean I'm excited but not at the same time about starting but the main reason I don't wanna go is because I have to leave most of my friends; I've been to so many farewells this summer that it isn't even funny and I guess it's kinda weird going to your own farewell... and on the other hand, I was so anxious at one point that I've already picked out my courses for the next 2 semesters and I'm planning on minor-ing in either Psychology or Biomedical Engineering but we'll see how that turns out

and I've made the hard decision to take only my PS3 instead of the 360 with me since there aren't that many exclusives coming out soon for either console and media capabilities of the PS3 are obviously better.I won't be able to take both since I'd end up failing my 1st semester in pre-med and I don't want that to happen

I'm not sure if any of you guys watched the latest Apple keynote or not but I'm sure you heard that a new iPod nano model is out which has really peaked my interest. The only problem is that I can't make up my mind as to whether this is a worthy purchase or not since I already own a 1st generation iPod Touch that works fine (except for a few lags every now and then) but then again, I haven't bought something new in quite a while so I shouldn't feel too guilty buying it and the new video camera seems good enough and the radio is a really nice addition. Another problem is that if I decide to get a Nano, I don't know which colour to get I'm confused between either green or purple, what do you think?

and now a bit of random-ness to end it all, here's a pic of me and Master Chief at Virgin Megastore

Back in January I bought a new HP pavillion laptop which I thought was great specs-wise but apparently the hardware isn't that good. I dunno if it's all HP laptops or if I was unlucky and got a faulty one. The problem is serious overheating which at first was kinda normal since it only happened while I played games but now it has gotten worse as it heats up while I do minimal tasks like web browsing and listening to music. Also, the screen also flickers and distorts sometimes but I'm not sure if that's related to the hardware heating up or another problem entirely. So has anyone run into these problems before? If so, have any tips as to how I can fix them?

Thanks in advance

dumb_bum must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could dumb_bum possibly have for not rating a single film?
