Ok Ok, I'm not one to download stuff but the premiere of Fringe showed up a while back on the net and a friend got it for me. After watching it I'm sitting on the fence. It had a good setup with the whole diseased plane but after that the plot seemed to just jump ahead too much, the interesting concept of a uncontrollable and unknown disease was explored a bit but not enough imo. They introduced a ton of characters for only 80 or minutes or so and the concepts they showed were interesting but right now I just don't know. I'll give it a few more episodes but I'll be honest it's not looking promising. Bonus points for shooting the pilot in Toronto where I live though

The basic premise reminds me of Threshold from a few years ago. The concept was cool, good cast, but somehow...it never caught on. I hope that Fringe does better. But I'll at least give it a shot.

That's the one thing the show has going for it I think. Because it's from Abrams I think a lot more people would be willing to give it a try.

Keep in mind pilots are almost always the weakest link in a series.
