Well, what an eventfull few days... so much has happened and I have so little to show for it.

Firstly my car failed it's MOT which means that I now have to get a bus to work, which means getting up 1/2 hour early and not getting back untill an hour later!!! Not only does that mean I am bored and cross when I get home, but it also means that I miss the Buffy re-runs on TV

To tell the truth I was half expecting it to fail because I have not really looked after it as it was an old second hand car that was full of dents and scratches. I knew it needed new front brakes and new tyres but I didn't know that it would also need a new exhaust, new clutch, one new suspension spring and a new timing belt... all sounds very expensive. I'm thinking at the moment that it might be better to just scrap it and get a new one, but we'll see.

Now, on to nicer things.... I want to thank everybody that has left comments on these blogs, and also to the people that have sent me PM's, it is really nice to know there are so many friendly folk out there that make you feel welcome, I have tried to write back to all of you, but if I have missed anyone than many apologies.

I have done a few things on the site since my last blog, like writting a couple of show reviews, meeting and greeting people on the forums (they do like to confuse me though with all these abbreviations!!!), and I have also managed to send 3 submissions for a little known English person (I thought it would be best to practice on the unknown incase I muck it up ) Anyway, I am not sure how long they will take to appear as I am only on level 4 "STILL" but it would be a nice thing to have under my belt if they do decide to use them... I will keep you posted on any developments.

Well, that about rounds things off for me, I hope all you lot are well and happy. Hopefully see you again here shortley.

I am very sorry to hear about your car. I keep an older model car that is prone to break down. When it does, I will scrap it and get another. I have found I can do that far cheaper than buying a brand new one.

Sounds as if you have been really busy on the site. By the way, reviews are a really good way to keep your level moving up. And you don't have to risk getting them rejected like with submissions. Also, submissions get looked at more quickly if you submit them to a show with an editor.

Hey
Welcome to the site! I followed a link from DD's blog to get here. Keep up the good work

I'm sorry to hear about your car. Newer cars break down also, but you have the advantage of a warranty, so you don't have to pay for the repairs. I drive a pickup truck that is older now. It needs some front end work (yet again) and I need to do something about that before it breaks down.

I haven't seen Buffy in quite some time now. The reruns are on too early for me. I'll be getting the collection soon anyway, so I'll use that instead.

I started out slow with submissions also. The first thing I ever submitted was a quote for the pilot episode of Bones. I have to tell you that I was so nervous about it, but it gets easier as you get used to it.

I hate the reviews I've written. I wrote them not long after I got here and I can't seem to edit them. I wish I could just delete them.

Cheers for all the comments, I do have a quick qusetion though - what do you tend to write in the "Enter Comments For This Submission" box when you are contrabuting to a show / person. I never know what it wants me to say!!

Hallo from Texas! I feel your pain about the car. I totaled my truck a couple of months ago. I'm still in need of therapy to deal with my sorry.

I always cut and paste the original submission. This allows you to review what you submitted on your submissions queue.

Sorry about your MOT. It must be a nightmare going on the bus in this lovely weather!Ours is due next month...fingers crossed. I either do what Danasdue does or if it's too long summarise it. Good luck with your other submissions!

It is also a good idea to put the source of your information in the comments section. It saves the editor time in reviewing the submission.

Yes, abbreviations do tend to get confusing! If it helps, you can check out the Unofficial FAQ towards the end of which Angel has started a list of TV.com acronyms.
