So here I am, making a blog 2 days in a row... surprising huh?
Yeah, it is to me as well. I doubt I will keep up with making one every day but I do hope to stick with this blogging thing a little more and using the features of this site a little more than just for posting when I am around. (Although don't get me wrong, I still love to post.
) I've also been trying to comment on other user's blogs more over the past few days as well, also something I haven't been very good at doing in the past. Who knows, maybe one of these nights coming up I will make a video blog for old times sake as well.
Also something interesting, to me at least (
), I might even go check out the News section on GS since I haven't done that in forever as well and see what I have been missing out on.
Now to the name of this blog, why is it named Brownies you may ask yourself? Well, because I fixed a girl from work's laptop for her for free because her little brother messed it up and she needed it for school but couldn't afford to get it fixed by someplace before she needed it again. So I decided to be a nice guy and fix it for her for free since her birthday was coming up I told her just to consider it an early birthday present. But she has decided to bake me some brownies for fixing her laptop for her, so not a bad deal IMO.
I wish more people were like that now days. Someone does something nice for you, you do something nice for them in return. Of course that's not why I was nice in fixing her computer, I didn't expect or want anything in return but it's good to know that there are still others around that think that way as well. Where most others would have just said thanks and never done anything in return or mentioned it again she decided to make the fat guy some brownies for his trouble.
Which is really sweet, although she doesn't know that I don't like brownies because I didn't tell her that because she seemed really happy to be doing something in return for me helping her out. (Those that know me better know that I don't care for alot of junk food) But it's all good because I have a little sister that loves brownies so I will just give them to her when I bring them home from work and she'll be all happy about that.
It's little things like this that make the world a great place IMO. Sure there is alot of bad things going around, especially in today's world, but taking the time to notice and appreciate little acts of kindness like this is what makes me look forward to the future in today's world. Anyways, before I end up writing a short story here I should wrap this thing up huh?
All is well with me, and I hope all is well with everyone here too. Work is over with, soon the housework will be completed and I will be coming to the forums for a little posting before taking my nightly shower and watching some netflix before bed. So overall, today was good and I'm hoping for more of the same tomorrow. So next time you have the time to do something nice for someone you know, or don't know for that matter, take the time and help them out because who knows, maybe making them feel better will make you feel better as well.

You get the hero of the day award from me dude. That was so nice. Sadly things are not really like that nowadays. Finding acts of kindess in this world is a rare feat. Anyway nice blog dude.

Yeah it was professor, and definitly, my little sister will be psyched she's getting brownies
Thank you GrandJury, and sadly it is rare, which is why when I can, I don't mind doing something nice for others. I'm not a missionary or anything like that, but if the opportunity presents itself and I'm able then I'm more than glad to do it.
Now though it's time for me to hit the shower and then I'll hit the forums for a little while before watching some netflix before bed.

Glad you enjoyed it megagene.
Also, yeah, I know my share about computers and what I don't know my older brother definitly does. I actually know quite a bit about alot of things other than posting.
Although it is kind of hard to tell since I do spend alot of time posting. I'm also very good at several sports, I read alot, I used to write scripts for MSN Chat several years ago, I also know a bit about IRC and running servers. I'm always willing to learn more and help wherever needed if asked. I just normally don't do anything but conversate with people in the forums when I'm on here, but online and offline I love to learn new things, apply myself and help others when possible. Not my whole life has been spent on the forums, just with my post count it might seem that way.
I also used to write poetry and some lyrics for songs but never bothered to try and publish them or share them with alot of people, it was more for personal enjoyment.

Nice read...could not agree more.
I never expect things in return (and usually don't even want what people give in return-like you with the brownies)
But the thought is everything as they say.
It is kind of sad though that nice people with manners and a sense of mutual respect and appreciation are a rarity (enough to write a blog about)...and not the opposite

You know what I did today that was nice? I went to Subway for dinner, and as I was approaching the door, I noticed a woman approachign to the left of me, but I was going to make it to the door first because of my longer gait. Well, I decided to open the door for her and let her in first, so she could order first. She thanked me at the door obviously, but what was unexpected was she thanked me again after she ordered. That made me feel good.
Oh, one other thing DD, do you use the @ at all? Some people, myself included, really don't revisit blogs, so if someone replies to use without using the @, we never find out about it.

That was really nice of her. I'm glad at least some people are nice to you.
