Well I have been tagged and since I actually talk to the user who tagged me I feel it would be rude to not answer the call, but keep in mind I am not very good at such things so don't expect anything awesome from me or anything.
1.) My name is David Decker. I'm a pretty boring sort. I work, go out with friends on the weekend and the rest of my time is taken up with either video games, reading, housework or watching tv/movies.
2.) I'm 26 years old, I was born 8-5-83. I was born in Massachusetts, but I've moved around a lot since then. I've lived in MA, PA, NY, IA and then back to PA and now currently I live in NY.
3.) I have an older brother who is 28, a younger sister who is 11 and a younger brother who is 10.
4.) Because of the little siblings I stay at home. Since I don't date anymore (bad relationship history) I prefer to live at home to help my mom out with the housework since her bf (he's not my father, my father passed away in 2005) that way she can actually relax when she gets home from work. Although I also work full time myself and make enough to live on my own and support myself if I chose to do so.
5.) I'm one of the fattest users on GameSpot on top of having the most posts on the site. I'm 6'1'' 300 lbs. Where most users on GS don't come even close to that.
6.) I'm one of the few people now days that actually read more than they watch TV. I mainly just read westerns, but I've almost read alot of Stephen King, Dean Koontz and John Grisham. Some of my favorite western authors are Zane Grey, Louis L'Amour, William Johnstone, Ralph Compton and Ralph Compton
7.) For gaming I am definitly only a casual gamer. I mainly just play sports games and westerns with an occassional other genre game thrown in here and there. I don't care for RPG's, Fantasy or Sci Fi games so that means 90% of the games that come out I'm not interested in. I also don't game online, I spend enough time online *looks at post count*
so when I game it's my downtime.
8.) I'm a cook for a local hospital here in Elmira, NY. I'm happy there, I have benefits, paid time off (8 hours for every 40 that I work) and every other weekend and every other holiday off. I love who I work with and I don't see myself working anyplace else in the future.
9.) I don't follow sports as closely as I used to but my favorite sports are baseball and football. My teams are the 49ers and Chicago White Sox. I don't watch a lot of college football but when I do USC is usually the team I go for, either them or Ohio State with some Nebraska thrown in.
10.) This is reserved for those of you that want to know more about me than what is listed above, so feel free to ask in the comments section below and I'll do my best to get to them in a timely manner.

Why join what? Are you asking why I joined GameSpot if I'm not a hardcore gamer like most the community here?
Posted Oct 18, 2009 3:15 pm PT
Mistress most of OT users aren't hardcore
What can I possible ask you about now?
Posted Oct 18, 2009 3:23 pm PT
Glad you answered the call...
Good post.
That is quite the age difference with the siblings though...are you more of another parent to them than a big brother?

Oh, it was a joke. I am not hardcore myself... otherwise I would be 500 pounds by now.

I have no idea horgen
More to love Mistress?
Yeah Jarrett, sometimes they slip and call me Dad instead of David, but thankfully not often. I also try to do brotherly things with them like video games and sports and I don't punish them, that's my mom or their dad's place. I try to stick to the brother role, although sometimes I want to kick them in the ass and get them to help out around the house more, but it's not my place to say either.

Interesting facts, I don't really like the tagging thing.

How old was your dad when he died?

You know what's really amazing? You and I have both only ever written one review and we both chose "Gun", AND both of our reviews are recommended by 3 out of 4 users.

That is really awesome megagene
What's even more awesome is you are also one of the first people I ever talked to on GS outside of the shared boards.

I knew most of that already. I feel cheated.
Posted Oct 18, 2009 5:17 pm PT
That's why I left #10 open LJS, no need to feel cheated, ask anything you want.

You're old. JK.

Good job DD, the taggin thing is a pain, but does let us get to know each other better, and your list was great. How do you get along with your younger siblings now as an adult? My brother & sister are close to me in age, but my daughters are 2, and my step-son is 15, so they're close in difference to you.

I get along with my little siblings fine being an adult and them as small children. With each year it gets a little easier to relate with them because they are becoming interested in the things that I am as well, at least some of them. When I started to notice that I realized also that I need to make sure and try to set better examples for them, so if I ever do have children of my own (although I don't think I am going to go down that road, I like kids, just not the drama in the relationship with the woman part of it.) then being around my younger siblings and neices (my older brother has 2 girls) I will definitly be better prepared than what I would have been having kids at a younger age before being around young children as much as I am now.

I wonder how your dad passed away that early.

He had a heart attack brought on by a medical condition I probably have as well but haven't been tested for either. It's heriditary. It's a blood clotting disorder called Factor 5. He didn't know he had it so he wasn't on blood thinners, the blood in his heart clotted causing a heart attack. It was unexpected, otherwise he was a healthy man. A good man that I miss very much and think of every day. Here is the link.

I think I knew 8 out of 10 of those.

Oh right! I'm pretty sure you convinced me to buy Gun which I played a few times through. It's a shame you can't get that big evil steel horse demon thingy before you complete all the side missions because you just don't really need it after that. Still it was a fun game.

Yeah Lord_Daemon, it was one of the things that I don't like about that and a few other western games, I wish after you beat the story mode it let you continue on with the better weapons and such the next playthrough of the game instead of having to get all the good weapons over again each time you play through the game.
