The worse part about this is that I just rented 2 games.

My Xbox 360 broke as soon as I rented Test Drive Unlimited a while ago.

Lots, from what I hear. I've never really encountered many problems with my 360 until now. Although, I have several broken controllers throughout my house, mainly because of my brother and his hooligan friends.

I'm beginning to think that Microsoft was able to release the 360s earlier than the other console makers because they rushed them. No system should have so many breakdowns. Before long the ones that work are going to become rare.

That bad to hear. Call MS to see if you can get yours replaced. Don't forget you can always join the darkside....and get a PS3, but I would suggest a wait.

Just out of interest. When did you buy the machine? Or when was it bought? Don't they come with a 1 year warranty?

I got it a couple of months after it came out. I'm pretty sure they extended the warranty after I bought it, from 90 days to 1 year..

...microsoft should have spent a little more time testing their consoles for bugs and hardware failiars, since the xbox is losing allot of popularity because of the 'red ring of death'. BTW sorry to hear about the xbox, I hope that Microsoft will repair your xbox for free (since it still should be under warrenty)

my x360 has the same proplem and in the KSA there is no MS customer service. so I thrown it in the garbage
and a got a PS3 it is good but there is no cool games only a few.

@ Samfisher. Don't scorch your pubes when it does bud. The PS3 is a virtual oven. You do not need central heating with it switched on!

Not really at all. About the same kind of noise as the fat PS2 fanwise. Disc noise is negligible - at least I haven't noticed it much anyway.
