Wow, it has been about two and a half years since I first posted on Gamespot. Before that I just lurked around, reading the editor reviews. But man, time flies and lots has changed since then. For one, I just started blogging a month ago - except that I got tired of it so I haven't been posting regularly now...hmm, don't know if I'll actually continue. When I blog, I try to make it the best post ever, to really make it worthwhile, but oh the time and effort I have to put into it
Gaming to me in the past meant PC all the way, I was anti-console because games were more fun to me on PCs (the accuracy and online excitement of Counter-Strike, the grandness of Rome: Total War - yeah I've yet to see that kind of action on a console!). Over the course of time, I got fed up with games not being able to run on my computer, especially not at the highest settings, having to always upgrade hardware, etc, so I got myself an XBox, and about half a year ago, a PS3. What's even more strange to us gamers is that I'm less and less interested in games now. I just turned 25 a month ago, but the average age of gamers is 33 (so 'they' say). Yep, found myself not spending much time on Gamespot (as little as maybe 1 visit every several weeks) and more focused on work and non-gaming activities, which is good in a way, because I was a gaming addict. Gaming can ruin lives as I can attest to personally!
So I just did my 106 game review. It's a special # to me and it was a perfect time for me to announce that I'll no longer post reviews or be active in Gamespot. Aww I know, but I'll still be around once in a while, and who knows? Anyway, I've enjoyed my time on Gamespot, inserting my sick humour in my reviews, and seeing the amount of gamers who don't share the same thoughts
, joining unions, tracking friends, etc. Thanks everyone for adding me to your tracking list and reading my reviews. Keep the gaming community strong, until next time!
