Another Chapter In My BADtime Story
Saturday, Nov 12, 2005

Well, I'm back for this weekend! Wooo! It's great to be at home! Even though I'm staying on a great hotel... Next weekend I'll probably stay there, I don't know how it'll work, if I'll have internet access. If I do, I will most definately post here.

I have been meaning to write another game (obviously) review. I only have two, RE4 in portuguese in my Multiply account and the Prince Of Persia: SoT here in GS. But I don't know which game to review, it would take quite a while if I was to review every single game that I own. I'll take some notes this week (during my break), and decide which games should I write a review of.

Onto another news now, I finally bought my ticket for the greatest show of this year (and NO, I'm not talking about the dreaded Pearl Jam)... I'm talking about Kamelot and Epica!!! I'm so anxious! It'll be hard getting to work the next day but it'll be worth!!!

Also, I bought 4 albums today, all of them unexpected, I was intending to buy different albums, still... all of them great albums. Here's the list: Tristania - Ashes, Sonata Arctica - Reckoning Night, Sirenia - An Elixir For Existence and Grave Digger - The Last Supper. Oh, it's been a great while since I bought a music record! This has been a slow year on the music front for me... only 5 albums the entire year...and I used to buy 5 a month!! Bah! There's always next year!

On the gaming front, no news for me. I haven't played this weekend, and there are three games that have all my attention for this Christmas: Magna Carta, Dragon Quest VIII and Wild Arms (the remake of the first one for the PSX).

Ok, this is it! See ya next time!

After a great long while without posting, I'm back. And finally, I got a job!! Yay for me!! I wasn't inspired enough to write about games or even play them... too sad... too bad... but then, all have changed!! Now, I'm on an overflood of accounting lingo, it is all I can think about. I'll be away from home from sunday to friday, training... so, no GameSpot for me during the week...

I'll try to post once a week, probably sunday. Let's get this thing moving on!

As I mentioned before I have a huge backlog of games, I'll try to comment on them individually and explaining why I haven't finished them. START!

Devil May Cry 3 - This thing is too hard! Too damn hard! Even on easy... This is the kind of game that I would've enjoyed a lot in past times, but not now... I'm on mission 8 on easy and no prospects to finish...

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 - This game is super fun all the way, especially because I'm such a DBZ geek, the game is solid and all... but I have no patience for it... this one I won't probably play again.

Stella Deus - Great tactical game, generic story... the only thing that keeps me moving on a game is story and it is so-so in this one. Still the artwork is unbelievably great and makes the game less sore on the eyes, because the scenarios are too generic and standard. Gameplay is awesome, though. Despite being a tactical game, it requires no tactics at all, unlike FFT, just be two levels above the enemies and you can't lose, unless you're dumb... and if you're two levels below the enemies... you can't win... lame... very lame... I'll finish this one someday.

Musashi: Samurai Legend - Bah! Just plain horrible... gameplay is worse than Kindgom Hearts (I'm comparing because it is the same style). Visual style (again) is awesome... horrible voice acting... can't stand the game... I would like to finish this one... but I probably won't...

Viewtiful Joe 2 - Awesome, awesome game! I just don't understand why I don't play it! When I got it, I played till death, I clocked a lot of hours on a single day! On the second day, I could not play it... WTF?!?! This one I'll finish because of its awesomeness! Great style! Great voice acting!

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness - I really wanted this game! Desperatly! Quirky, japanese, tactical RPG, all in one game, heaven I say, heaven... Bah! I played some 10 hours, then I gave up! I didn't like the system... to level up characters have to give the last blow... no good... My Laharl is 20 levels above everyone else... and he keeps killing everyone because he is so strong! Still everything else on the game is as cool as hell (pun intended?! Bwahahaha). I'll probably finish it solely because of the story.

GTA: San Andreas - I hated this game! Then I liked it! After that, I hated it again! Repeat ad aeternum ! There are too many glitches throughout the game! Flying missions are horrible! I hated the radio stations! And it is getting just too boring and repetitive doing the same stuff again... I enjoyed VC much more than this one. I'll probably finish it because I clocked too many hours on it, but that's it, I'm not buying another GTA again.

Prince Of Persia - Warrior Within: I liked this game, less than the Sands of Time, of course. But I got the PS2 version, and I have been graced twice with the glitches of hell... I had to restart twice... I gave up mid-way... I'll buy the GC version to play it.

Red Dead Revolver - Never played it... probably never will... maybe if I have no other games to play... bah! Wishful thinking...

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem - I have commented about this game on a previous entry. Very engaging game! Loved its story! Great sense of fear! And that is why I haven't finished it yet... too much of a wuss to play it... I vow to finish it! And I will!

Grandia II - Awesome game! I'm playing it on the computer, I couldn't get the PS2 version... and that's probably why I haven't finished it, I hate playing on the computer...

Grandia Xtreme - Horrible game! No chance I'll finish this one... dungeons are too long without any respite... plain boring... it's a dungeon crawler... I'm not going to play it again... And I even erased its save to get some room for other games on my MC.

Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 - I put them together, cause, well, that's what they are, you'll have to play them in sucession. I got really addicted on DDS 1, the story is cool. Everything about the game is awesome. I haven't finished it because I'm really enjoying buffing up my characters! Just you wait demons! I'll kick you arses!

Shadow of the Colossus - Based on what I saw, it seems like a great game, and everybody here on GameSpot praised it. It'll have to wait a little bit, cause I have no room on my MC and there are other games on my backlog.

And there are some games that I finished without even blinking an eye... like Radiata Stories (I clocked 40 or some hours in the game, played both sides, it was awesome!), Atelier Iris (same thing as Radiata Stories! I loved every second of it), Genji (too short, but really fun game!), KOTOR 2 (I HAD to finish it), Still Life (nice adventure game, great visuals, too bad it was too short).

And that's about it! I'll see ya!

Oh noes! I bet a lot of people flinched when they read the title...

No, I'm not leaving Gamespot. I am just leaving civilization, I'm going to Itamonte (Itamount) in Minas Gerais, my friend's aunt lives there and we are used to go there all the time, this will be our third time this year. Lots of beer, food, and fun! I just love it there! I'll post some photos when I get home. And since we have a holiday coming up on wednesday, I'm going tomorrow, and I'll be back on sunday... I guess I'll probably miss all the action here. *cries* Well, I'm off to prepare my stuff for the trip, see ya!

Some people just don't have opinions. Like diegobf.
diegobf must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could diegobf possibly have for not rating a single film?
