You are an amazing person Dezzie, and i feel blessed for knowing ya . I lost my faith in god very early in life, mostly because I detest the church and bible. But I do believe that there is a higher power somewhere, that might be guiding us. There has to be, right? Most people I know couldn't care less about starving children in Africa, it's awesome to know that there are still people like you.
I wish you the best, helping only ONE person means so much. I've given money to Animal organizations in poor countries, and if I ever have enough money i'd also like to go to poor countries and help people (But mostly animals) to give them a better life.

Can I ask why this is your only blog?

I've heard many accounts of people travelling to worse-off climes and they always come back changed. A close relative is doing it sometime this year. Should be interesting to see how that plays out.

No, you are not crazy. What you are planning to do is very admirable, and Sleepy is right, you are an amazing person. You are going that extra step that most people, maybe possibly including me, are willing to go. Most of us are willing to donate their money to a charity and be done with that. There is something in you, propelled by God, go onto next level. That is very rare in people. With your passion, energy, and love, I have no doubt you will be able touch people who you will come into contact in your future travels.

Hi Dez,

I don't think you are crazy at all... To want to help others should be the norm and not the exception. I think being guided in your decisions by what you call signs from God is a good thing; I mean I think going against what signs seem to be pointing at is never a good idea. I don't know about the mission though? Is it one to help or to try to convert? If it's to help than I agree 100%, if it is to convert... not so much, I believe helping people and not imposing your beliefs unless the person asks for them is a mark of respect for the people you are helping. Hope that made a little sense, but I think you are doing good and that's always great to have people like you for humanity .
