Little known fact i found out the other day. i say little known because it was the first time i'd heard of it and being the case of what it is, i figured i would have heard of it alot sooner....
Apparently, forsome reason or another, most game companies don't release PS3 titles in 1080p. The Xbox360 version, oh sure theres no problem there. But when it comes to the PS3 version, they decide to cut corners??? The BS reason i got was how the PS3 is so hard to make for (give me a break, still with this excuse?) and alot of these companies don't have the money/resources to go about doing it for the PS3 (but they can do it for the 360 instead?). Kinda garnishing the market aren't we? they either can't or won't be bothered to release both titles in 1080, so they release just the one, and when it comes to a custoemr like me (both systems and 1080p TV) you're gonna want the game that looks better and stands out, right? almost seems like an unfair advantage....am i right?
Store Clerk: what kind of tv do you own?
Customer: oh, i have a 1080p flatscreen 5 billion inch screen that takes up the great wall of china and i'm looking for a game that takes advantage of that.
Store Clerk: in that case, stay away from most PS3 games, they only release them in 720-kiss my arse-p.

Come on, thats just plain stupid. Isn't PS3 billed as the fully HD system?? then why is it we can't get a friggin game released in 1080p?!?! If its so friggin hard, call Sony up and ask them how to do it or for help in doing it but don't just blatantly not do it!!!! thats the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard and its unfair to customers. Over half my games are on the PS3, tho had i had known about the 1080/720p thing i might have bought otherwise. Which some how doesn't seem fair to me. like its purposely tipped on the other side. i mean if you can't do it for both then don't just do it for one and leave the other one hangin cause thats kinda unfair to those who only own a PS3. Surprised i hadn't heard much about this cause its one of those REAL problems that come around every so often and is worth to complain about.

I don't own a game for both systems (tho i almost did for street fighter VI). But the proof is on our shelves. its the most retarded thing i've ever heard! i refuse to believe its anymore expensive or time consuming to support 1080p on one system then another. Why have Bluray, which all PS3 games are on if no 1080p? whats the deal? barely anyone knows anything about this, i assume this cause i never hear about it. only heard about it not too long ago from friends who work at gamestop. they know cause they see it all day long. It' not made up BS or fanboy favoritism, i own all systems and i lean more towards my PS3, but i can't rationalize buying a game on my PS3 when it'll look better on xbox. My TV even switches to the available medium thats there. the friggin XMB on the PS3 is in FULL HD, but i pop in a game, it drops down to 720p. DAMNIT!! its not even just third party titles, i just mentioned Killzone2 and i just checked my littlebigplanet, only goes up to 720p.
I'm sorry, but if theres one thing worth Griping about its friggin this!!!
