-If nothing will be done about it the warm of the planet may rise 5ºC and the economical growth will decrease between 5%and 20%

-if the temperature raise 2ºC the GIP (gross internal product ) may decrease 3%

-Each ton of CO2 launch in the atmosphere today will cost about $75 in the near future

-To avoid all the catastrophic consequences of the global warming the world governments just have to spend now 2% of their GIP

Boring hein ! this will maybe win the most boring blog post of the year

But these days this seem to be the only kind of speech that can reach the rulers of the world ears and wake up their minds

Yeah, the planet will suffer in the future, but it'll be too late.

Global warming always leaves me feeling apprehensive, but maybe that's not such a bad thing? I'd be interested to see more politicians around the world concerned over the issue, especially politicians in the U.S. Americans don't seem to care as much as their European counterparts.

I believe the cause of global warming is the sun and climate change is run in cycles. It is coming whatever we do and is not caused by human interference with the earth.

This is not boring, this is a really good thing you're doing. Hopefully it will reach someone in here that doesn't give a **** about global warming. We all have the responsibility to do something to prevent global warming, or else our children are the ones who will suffer.

It is sad to say that our media does little to reach this to the average viewer's mind. Instead they talk about Pair Hilton. Our government needs to get on this soon, but given that Bush is from an oil firm and has his hands and friends in that area, there is no chance of any starts to change this up coming catastrophe.

There are 4 scenarios. (these are bullet proof)
GO = Global Warming Occuring Drastically
NG = No Drastic Global Warming
TA = Taking Action (money and man power)
NA = No Action

1) GO + TA = we are saved from a much bigger catastrophe
2) GO + NA = we are ****ed. end of everything.
3) NG + TA = we'll go into economic recession, but it is much safer that scenario #1.
4) NG + NA = nothing lost, but this isn't as likely to occur as the rest.

#3 seems to be the lesser of all, and is the safest bet, even if their is an economic depression world wide, at least we are safer. But what would it take to fix all of this?

Take a look at the Derrick Jensen's books labeled "Endgame I & II."

Here is a link to one of them.

I agree things should be done but not about how the world is going to end tomorrow. I think what the media pushes is a little extreme. Global warming is actually a good thing. Yes, it is, I did an entire semester with an astronomy teacher, geology teacher, and a meteoroloigist and all we talked about was global warming. Not in an extreme case, but the earth does need some form of global warming. And yes, I do think that something must be done, the US does created 30% of the emissions but China and India account for over 60%. If cars just could become 4 miles more efficiant a year, the problem would be solved. Or switching to florescent lights. I agree things should change but I dissagree about the propaganda that the media and others are spewing at us about the end of the world and how extreme the problem is. 30 different scientists who actually went around the world to study global warming, including Antartica, said that it's nothing like the way "Inconvient Truths" depicted it as.

"But these days this seem to be the only kind of speech that can reach the rulers of the world ears and wake up their minds"

Instead, let's focus on overthrowing their rule.
