I started drawing things when I was old enough to hold a pencil. I have always loved cartoons. My earliest obsessions were Top Cat, Quick Draw McGraw, Huckleberry Hound, and, of course, Underdog. I used to drive my mother bonkers running around the house in my skivvies with a towel as a cape shouting, "Have no fear.....Underdog is here!"
Gaming has always appealed to the creative side of me, and it was games such as Mario, Zelda, and Final Fantasy which first fueled my appetite with their engaging characters, stories, and exciting quests. I have been an ardent fan of these three titles ever since and any other game that emulates them. Currently I own a DS-Lite, a Gameboy SP, and a Gamecube. My mom has the oldies but goodies at her house; the NES (that we first played Mario and Zelda on), a N64 (which I never really cared for but she loves it), and a SNES (the original one I first played FFIII on).
I do not care for most of the newer games coming out these days for the majority seem to be based on the glamorization of graphic sex, extreme violence, and moral disrespect for human decency. Once in a great while though a game will come out that rekindles my old gaming appetite; The Windwaker and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door were two such games.
Nowadays I do freelance graphic design (you can see some of the designs I have made for Gamespot members on my Images page) and work full time as a night auditor at a hotel. I enjoy reading, writing, playing video games (the old school variety), fishing, the outdoors, and tinkering with my computers.
Of course, none of the above would be possible without the Lord - thank the Father in Heaven for Jesus!
Amen.
