It's often hard to watch Henry Rollins when he is in a movie role. Whether it be the thug in <i>Heat</i>, the Doctor in <i>Johnny Mnemonic</i> or the nameless policeman in <i>Lost Highway</i>, there has always been something missing from his performace. It's the idea that he is playing someone else, and not being himself. That's why Rollins is best when he is just himself.

Rollins has made a career as a musician and an actor, but his philisophy is what makes him so unique. Not afraid to speak his mind, Rollins has his own opinions on everything and tells people. But while others simply follow the crowd, Rollins thinks about the issue before spouting out some rehashed rhetoric. He also understands what it's like to be poor and on the road as a member of the band. He remembers what it was like. But what makes Rollins a true star is even though on his show and on the musical stage he appears to be a violent angry man, when in fact he is also a kind person who actually listens to the people he interviews and thanks his fans politely after his shows. A class act, and someone who has achieved more balance in this life than any other person.

While the fanboy world was lit when they received news on a new host for Attack of the Show, Munn didn't realize she was about to come under fire. And granted I dislike the change going on at G4 at the time, and still appreciated the connection to TechTv Sarah Lane had...I realized that change was to be expected in this world of money. So I tried to give the new host a chance. Lucky I did. Olivia brings something different to the show. She brings a different attitude to the show and that girl-next-door behavior. Add that to the fact that she can make fun at her own expense, and she may have what it takes to be a star.

Her only faults come when she is placed with other people who have been on televion longer than she has. This was shown during the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) coverage G4 provided. She hosted with three other individuals who were the faces of the network for some time. Munn made a few errors during the live coverage and at times looked uncomfortable. Even though she had prior experience with Fox Sports, she didn't seem to fit in at times. Then there were other times where she fit in perfect and looked like she had been there forever.

She has the looks to be on television as well as the personality. But as an added bonus, she still communicates with her fans. When she becomes more comfortable, she may become a bigger star. But one thing you can be on, people will be hearing more about Olivia Munn in the future.

While I've been patient with the numerous re-vamps done to Attack of the Show there is one thing I cannot forgive. Zach just doesn't seem to belong. He worked well with Extreme Dodgeball, but AotS is something entirely different. He appears to be trying too much to act like (and look like) Martin Sargent from the old TechTV days.

What I really disliked was his attempt at covering the Sony based material being released at E3. It was hard to watch. Seriously, it was hard to watch. Of all the serious journalistic talent they could have used (even Seanbaby would have been somewhat interesting to watch), they went with a fratboy named Zach. It was like he was only there to hit on the booth babes and grab as much screen time as possible. Granted Holt's coverage was only a wii bit more interesting, she looked comfortable doing her reporting. And I just know that if he is still around, he will be covering the PS3 launch. We can only hope he's settled down by then.

He has potential, but if Sargent's antics didn't work for the management at G4 then Zach doesn't have much more time left. Perhaps he will adjust his attitude a bit, until then I'll be fast forwarding through his segments.

Public Relations is very important for Peter Moore, it's just that he can't quite cut it. While he seems to be a nice guy, it's his ability to answer any negative questions about Microsoft's Xbox or Xbox 360 with nothing but a positive spin....

Public Relations is very important for Peter Moore, it's just that he can't quite cut it. While he seems to be a nice guy, it's his ability to answer any negative questions about Microsoft's Xbox or Xbox 360 with nothing but a positive spin. Problem is, he doesn't do his job well enough for us to not to be able to see through it.

When he's not talking about the video game industry, he's a well liked and enjoyable to watch. He's a regular guy who loves video games and has been an asset at Microsoft in marketing the Xbox and the Xbox 360, but his interviews on the consoles are quite lacking, and he doesn't seem to shy away from being crypic about them.

I was first introduced to him during the promotional period for the release of the Microsoft Xbox 360 back in 2005. His interviews contained no information that the fans really wanted: Will everyone be able to get a 360 by Christmas? What are the percentages of Hard Drive versus Non-Hard Drive units to be sold. What's with all the damage? It was hard at times to watch him evade the questions without answering them. It was like watching a good politician: He never appears uncomfortable and dodges questions. Problem is, we notice when he's dodging.

Ultimately, I have to give him credit. Since he is responsible for the Xbox Unit, he is out there talking directly with the fans and doing the interviews; instead of having some other PR person out there doing it for him. He loves the gaming world, he just has to work on his speaking skills so he isn't so obvious in telling us nothing.

Seanbaby is the type of journalist that everyone secretly wants to be. To have the ability to speak your mind with no censor and to enjoy a beer every once and awhile with friends. Seanbaby knows how to enjoy life. Sometimes you may agree with him, other times you may not. Either way he really doesn't care what you really think, he is just reporting on the silliness that is. And if he ticks off a few people here and there, then it's all the more better. he has his idols, he has his friends, and he has his opinions. That's all he needs...well that and a job.

I enjoy reading his work because he tells it like it is. A lot of video game journalists take their jobs a little to seriously; Seanbaby likes his job, but wants to have fun in the process. Some may think he is rude, but utlimately he isn't afraid to be opinionated....and if you can't take it, stay away.

In a world where technology grows increasingly more complicated, it is refreshing to have an individual who takes this technology and breaks it down so everyone can enjoy it. Leo Laporte is one of those people.

In a world where technology grows increasingly more complicated, it is refreshing to have an individual who takes this technology and breaks it down so everyone can enjoy it. Leo Laporte is one of those people.

His energetic yet simple approach to technology allows people to enjoy computers, televisions and ipods more, no matter what their age. Many technology "gurus" feel that computers are "their's" and that certain bits of information should only be shared with their elite group of tech buffs. Leo Laporte believes that technology should be used by everyone, and that you shouldn't be afraid of it.

I first caught Leo's work on his show The Screen Savers. He was like the cool parent that got excited over the newest computer release or the latest news about the internet. What I really liked was the way he would take calls and simplify his answers so that non-tech people could understand it. Not only that, but he would give multiple options on how to solve the problem. Also, when an interview was getting a little to technical, he would guide it back to basics. I then watched his Call for Help which spent an entire hour devoted to solving people's technology related problems. Unfortunately, due to a network buy-out and later a network "demographic" overhaul, Leo's shows were cancelled in the United States. Now Laporte's fans can find him on the internet with his weekly podcasts.

So if you ever need help with your Personal "Confuser", all you need is Leo to help you out.

I was introduced to the German Band Rammstein while watching David Lynch's Lost Highway in college. I was also taking German language classes so these two events brought me to the band. Plus, being a fan of the industrial Nine Inch Nails helped as well. I would translate their lyrics into my native English and learn the songs in German. I've never had to work harder on a band, but it's fun doing it.

As a band, they throw a show, with fire a common theme. But with all the excitement of the flames and fireworks, Rammstein has a perfect balance in their songs. With such hard songs like "Du Hast" and "Sehnsucht" there are soft songs like "Seemann" and "Mutter". Add to that songs that tie in both like "Engle" and "Mein Herz Brennt", and Rammstein's lyrical combination with perfect balance for everyone.

For most of their songs, Rammstein only sings in their native tongue of German. I have no idea how a band with no English lyrics can make it in a country where the egotistical phrase "If you are in our country, learn our language" is often heard. It's weird, but hopefully Rammstein will continue to work her in their native tongue and entertain those of us who respect all nations.

Tommy Tallarico is one of those guys you can't help but like...or not like. Fans like his honesty and his dedication to the music area of video games. Those who hate him, affectionally called "Tommyknockers", dislike him because of his brutal honesty and sometimes toilet humor. But what people have to remember is that he is a celebrity and an icon, but his heart belongs to the games.

As a host, Tallarico is funny and yet to the point. He is not afraid to tell the viewer if he doesn't like a game. But he gets a kind of boyish excitement when he finds a game he really likes. I can see how some people may find him irritating at times, how these people constantly have something negative to say about the man amazes me.

In his one-on-one interviews, Tallarico is shown as a man who is dedicated to not only the music, but to the betterment of video games. He sees video games as a work of art and feels the world should see it that way as well. Games are a way to express yourself and should be perfect, because people are shelling out large amounts of money for these games. But he also realizes that there is some really bad creations out there, so it's up to him to educate people on this.

With a credit of over 250 games (and still counting), Tommy Tallarico has become an icon in the video game industry. Unfortunately, he will not be remembered as much for this accomplishment, or his furthering of the industry, most people will remember him for his attitude and personality. And these people are the ones who are missing out on the big picture.
