i turned on my xbox360 this afternoon and it happened. the bottom right light on the ring of light started flashing red and the system error message came up. i know i'm lot more fortunate then a lot of other people who have had 3 or all 4 of the lights turn red, but it really annoys me that this is still happening to a console that has been out for as many years as the 360 has. shouldn't it be fixed by now? i got my 360 in june last year and i would have thought that it would have been fixed by then... aparently not.

now i've got to wait 2-4 weeks for it to return from being repaired, so i guess thats the end of COD for me.

assuming that it will be returned to me, undamaged, and without my data lost, if i was looking on the positive side, i'd say, the time without it will give me more time to do things i should be doing that are more important, which is a good thing. but still, this problem shouldn't be happening to anyone... when is microsoft going to get it right???

oh well, i'm at least grateful that i didn't get all 4 lights lit up

Sorry to hear that.

That happened to ours right before Christmas. But with only one light showing up then you problem shouldn't be as bad. And no worries about your data because they make you take the hard drive off before you send it to them. But I am sorry to hear that it is no fun when consoles stop working.

I dont think they are going to try and fix the problems this generation. They are just goig to continue to replace them until the next generation comes out.

That's awful! It happened to me only once a few months ago but it wasn't much of a problem since I got it back in around 10 days.
Hoping you get the replacement soon.

Sorry to hear that. I'm also surprised that this hasn't been fixed in the last couple of years. Well, good luck for those 2-4 weeks. Try not to be too bored
