Expect updates to come infrequently, as I'm a GameFAQS user, and only stop here every month or two to check on the shared forum users on the Gamespot side.
I now sit at a very busy point in time: College starts on Monday. That's 3 days from now.
My last day of full-time work at the car wash was today, and I won't miss the place, but it does leave a lot of stuff to do in a short period of time.
I need to get in gear for studying, quickly and efficiently, so that I get good marks.
I need to work Saturdays so I have a bit of money for bus passes, stuff life throws at me, and my Coke habit.
I need to find a better damn job on Saturdays. My job is neither reliable nor pleasant, and I'm seriously thinking of moving on. Of course that involves resumes, applications, interviews, etc., all of which I don't really have time for.
And I'll be spending 2 hours a day on the bus.
Now I'm sure many of you have heard those stories before, or maybe are living them right now.
Keep on keeping on, folks. No one likes a quitter. Be a trooper. Be a ****ing soldier, maybe the world will see that you can't be discouraged and give up trying.
Thanks for reading, I'm dark minun.
In regards to gaming - lately almost every time I hear someone talking about a new or upcoming game I feel like I have no clue what they're talking about.
I've sort of lost touch with the gaming media in the last year or so, due in part to working full time, and in part to my lack of gaming magazine subscriptions, which once were my main source of news and information. It sucks having a life.
Anyways, I'm gonna end this short post by asking; where is a good website where I can get all of the important, big news in gaming by glancing through the site in 5-10 minutes each day? I find Gamespot a little too hard to navigate for those purposes, and the page loads here are a little slow.
Drowning my wallet aga-ain . . . .
So as some of you know, I now work at a car wash. It may not be the most enjoyable job out there, but pay is decent and the managers and supervisors are nice people, so I don't really mind it.
The main problem is when the weather is bad: No cars come in, so I don't get much work. The last 2 - 3 weeks haven't been bad, but this week once again we're looking towards at least 2 rainy days. Not good.
On another rain-related topic, the Red River Flood of 2009 is slowly receding in the Winnipeg area. Floods are a common occurence here in Winnipeg, since we live extremely close to water level, so before this area was urbanized the water would often cover an area of land several kilometers wide. We now have some of the best flood protection available to modern man, but there's still often a fear of basement flooding. Luckily most homes escaped that this year, even though we had the 2nd worst flood in the last 100 years.
Hope this isn't too depressing, for now, I'm Dark Minun.
