Hello everyone

I know you're probably wondering what this is all about

Well I just got Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and I've been playing it a lot! It's really great so far, I am really curious why Gamespot didn't give it a review yet.

I'll have to say, if it wasn't for Bowser being a main character this time, I don't think it will be as great. Using the touch screen a lot has brought many great and new ideas to the game, the difficulty isn't hard and it isn't easy, I'd say it's Just Right. As I am writing this blog I am fighting a persistent little pest (Boss)

I noticed that the animation of Mario & Luigi as well as Bowser and all their special attacks are much better than before. I think the graphics is slightly better as well. And it seems there are many side-quests this time and it added a great value to the game. I think I'm about half done with the game now and I already played 14 hours.

The challenge mode is something very interesting and newly added. And that's the main topic of today's blog. I've been trying the challenges and boy they are very hard

If you all remember the famous special attack the (Green Shell). One of the challenges is you have to hit it 150 times between the Bros. but that's if you want an A rank, for B it's 100. Even 100 isn't easy, so I finished the B rank and guess what I got? just 50 coins!? Are they kidding me?!

So I tried for the A rank and it took me hours and couldn't get it done, the shell gets so extremely fast, the highest I got is.. .. .. 149 just ONE kick and I could have got it!

Anyways, I tried another challenge which was also really really hard! After so much trouble I finally got A rank! Wooohooo 500 coins! and... Daredevil shoes sounds powerful doesn't it?

And I am very excited to equip it until it says: 2x powers But! 1 hit KO's you... what the !@#$? Are they serious? After all this trouble, ONE hit KO's me?! For heaven's sake that's not even worth it at all, because if one bro dies, you have to take care of him by the other bro while evading the enemy attacks, which is really hard.

It's simply useless! unless you're an extreme hardcore gamer and you cannot get hit, that's a different story but as you encounter new enemies you will definitely get hit as you discover their hit pattern. I think the only use for it if you know every enemy's hit pattern in the whole game and you have mastered them all.

But really, I think these challenges are simply impossible, why does Nintendo make us go through all this trouble for silly gears?

And one another challenge if you get it done, you get your coins doubled! that's really great! but.... I really hope I could get it done

But anyways, the game is really great, it's much better than the previous M&L titles, that I assure you

If I was in Gamespot I'll probably give it:

- Great Boss Fights
- Superior Animation (Speaking as a DS game)
- Outstanding Gameply
- Funny
- Just Right
- I still haven't seen everything in the game but it might deserve (Get more than your money's worth) since it has many side-quests to do other than the story.

I guess that's about it, I wouldn't give it a score yet because I haven't finished it.

Let's just wait and see what Gamespot says about it.

That's all for today, take care

I was wondering why gs haven't given it a review yet either, but I noticed they're getting behind on a lot of the ds releases that just came out. Glad to hear you're having fun with the game though.

Those challenges sound rough, but the rest of the game sounds fantastic, Ill get it before the year is out. I only wish more games took advantage of the DS's 2D possibilities like this game does.

Nice review of the game. The challenges sound like an awesome part of the game. I doubt I will pick it up because it really isnt my type of RPG, however, it sounds fun. I wonder what GS will give it as well.

That is a bit unfair that you get such cheap prizes for completing the B-rank challengs.
