Hey everyone. How's life? Every once in awhile I feel a need to update y'all on my life. Like full out. Here's a profile on me. On my life. Everything you may want to know, I am about to tell you. I miss you all. I miss comments. I miss this world.

BASICS.

The name is Lauren Ashley. I have a few nicknames - Lo and Ren being the major ones. I think the origin of both nicknames is fairly obvious. I do not go by Ren as much anymore, it was more of a high school nickname. Lo is really common these days. I am eighteen years old, quickly approaching nineteen, which is completely surreal. I have a little more than a year left of being a teenager. I grew up in a strange world. My house was located in the country right in the middle of a small town and a decent sized city. For the first thirteen years of my life I attended school in the small town. So I say I grew up there. It has definitely had a huge impact on who I have become. After middle school, I went to school in the city for high school - the decision to leave was probably one of my most defining moments. Now I am living in a huge city and going to university. I am taking a Bachelor of Science - Environmental. It is the realistic hippie in me. I am unemployed right now for the first time in two years which is a source of anxiety for me. I am single.

FAMILY.

I grew up fairly well-off. My mom is a middle school teacher. She was a stay-at-home mom until I was in the third grade. My dad was welder for most of my younger childhood, he eventually moved on to being a consultant, and about five years ago he started his own engineering and oil-field company. I have a younger sister, she's seventeen and a senior in high school. My family seems normal, which they are pretty much except for the fact that my dad has never been at home. He worked away from home always and now his company is based out of the city I am now living in. I have a decent relationship with him but he is not really a father-figure to me. Also consider my friends family. I have best friend. Her name is Kat. I have known her my whole life. I have a cousin who is also one of my best friends, her name is Katie. She lives where I am living now, so that makes me happy. I have recently reconnected with my high school best friend, Kaia. I have three other friends that I am close with, Randy, Mia and Henry.

EXTERIOR.

I am quite short - five foot two to be exact. I never really notice how short I am. I am fine with it. I do not let it dictate anything about me. I am what you could describe as curvy. I am really insecure about my body. I have medium length (finally) dark brown hair. It is wavy verging on curly. I wear it three ways, natural, enhanced with curl booster or straight. I have hazel eyes. They are unimpressive. I have really long eyelashes, though. People always ask what mascara I use and what I do to them. It is mostly natural. My make up routine is really natural now. I used to wear a lot of makeup and I still do from time-to-time. Daily, I wear concealer, powder, blush and mascara. For my hair these days I have really been into middle parts ever since my bangs have grown out. I am also a big fan of braids and backcombing. My sty|e is a little all over the place. I go from hippie, to trendy, to comfy, to casual, to 80's to everything in the middle. My closet contains a lot of skinny jeans, plaid, t-shirts, short shorts, loose tanks, leggings and cardigans. I have a shoe obsession. I mostly wear flip flops (rubber and fashion) and boots - lots of boots. I wear contacts and once in awhile glasses. I wear quite a bit of jewellery, nothing extravagant but a lot of it when I do. Long necklaces, short chains, dangly and hoop earrings, hippie bracelets and handfuls of rings. I love clothes and fashion. I do a lot things that seem like I may doing to impress people, but I do a lot of it for myself. Clothes, hair and makeup make me happy.

INTERIOR.

I like walls - they protect me. I built them up a long time ago. My middle school years were rough. I went from the top of the social ladder and fell. I was a b!tch, a title that has followed me ever since. I hate the label so much, but I guess I earned it. I am exceptionally loyal. I have been the confidante for many people over the past years and I have kept it all to myself. I am listener and analyzer, people like that when they need advice. I have a temper and am completely stubborn. I am a vegetarian which for me includes fish. Laughing and smiling are my favourite things. They make my world go 'round. I am introverted but out-going at the same time. I am a person who likes to go out but because of my walls, I do not let people into my inner world. I am shy, but once I am comfortable, I am talkative. I like being in control which leads me to being bossy. I am weird. I am not afraid to let people know, it's like the shell of me that most people know. I am a realistic hippie. In theory I am all about rainbows and butterflies, but I realise that is not realistic. I am anti-war but I understand that it is something that is always going to present. I want to save the environment but I know that a lot of people are too idealistic about it; we have to realistic if we want long-term change. People like money too much; we need to find a balance between economics and environmental sustainability. I am not a huge partier, I like to go out, but I do not drink often. I am without a doubt anti-drug. I am moody. If I am in a mood, leave me alone - simple. I am emotional not that I ever let people know. My favourite word to describe myself is unique. I like who I am, I am little scattered, a little controlling, a little mean, a little happy, a little strange, a little everything. I like it.

OBSESSIONS.

I definitely have an addictive personality. I get obsessed. I have four major ones. Number one - shopping. It is out of control. If I am bored, I go to the mall. Clothing is where the majority of my money goes. If I could have all the money in the whole I would live in the mall. I buy things that I like. Television was probably my first major, out of control obsession. I own so many series on DVD. It is a fantasy world I like to escape to from time to time. It makes me happy. I like analyzing plotlines, relating to characters and talking to other people about it. I also love books. I own a lot of books. They vary in type from superficial to intense. I am always reading a book. Obsession number three, writing. I love writing. I like writing of all types - blogs, poetry, songs, essays, books, journals and anything else that involves putting words together. I wish I was better at it, but I love it. It helps me through a lot of things. The last one being music. Music gets me through a lot. It is also the newest obsession. I have always enjoyed music but over the past year it has become an even more important part of my life. I like all types of music. I tend to listen to a lot of random stuff that I hear on series and movies. I would say my favorite types of music are rock (alternative and mainstream), cross-over country, power ballads and pop-rock. I respect singer/songwriters so much.

CONFESSIONS.

I am addicted to Starbucks skinny caramel lattes. A lot of my money goes towards them and even more time goes towards standing in line for them. I love the character Brooke Davis from One Tree Hill and Friday Night Light's Tim Riggins. They are both complicated and beautiful - inside and out. I buy an excessive amount of magazines and read them from cover to cover. I love meeting new people. I have an unhealthy fixation on Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato. I like them all an expectionally amount and will defend them. Musically, I think that Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are super talented. I chew an unreasonable amount of gum - Extra speariment. I am very Pro-life. I respect people that are Pro-choice but personally I am very against abortion and is one of the things I am very passionate about it. I love taking pictures. I am in love with my Blackberry Pearl which I got before everyone else did. I enjoy giant bottles of Crystal Light Pink Lemonade. Facebook and Twitter are addictive. I own too many pairs of sunglasses. I say "peace" a lot and flash the peace sign even more. I am a sarcastic individual. I own a blanket which I call stinkie and I love him. My car's name is Franklin.

Hi Lauren! Ooh, you're so neat and organized. Thanks for all the info! We're the same height! I hate my height though and I wish I could carry it well like you do. You are soooo gorgeous Lauren! *jealous* I have long lashes too and they curl naturally. Is backcombing where you tease the hair and it makes it look like your hair has a lot of volume? YAY for no drugs. Which artists do you like? I'm currently addicted to Starbuck's iced chai. They make it too sweet so I always add milk. *makes grabby motions* I want your freckles.

Hey yall. [charmed1102] - thanks. *blush* my glasses are new. and i kinda love them too. franklin is pretty rocking. i enjoy him. [Water78] - BA of Sci. it's going to be interesting. =D
[xlovedust] - That sucks you're not that comfortable being short. One of my old managers was like that. She was even shorter but still. You make me blush, hun. Having long lashes is so awesome, eh? Mine don't curl that well naturally, you're so lucky that yours do! That's exactly what backcombing is. But I don't really do it for volume since I have really think hair. I like the messy, bedhead look. Big music right now for me is Demi, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Phoenix, Michelle Branch, Taylor Swift, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Saturdays, Plastincines, John Mayer, JB, Citizen Cope. Anything with Chai is awesome. I love starbucks. It's so good. I love how they have they have stuff you can so you can alter your drink even more.

Ivy, you want my freckles? That's crazy, no one ever says that. I like them, but people don't normally say they want them! That's cute.

So what's the big difference between a B. Sc. comopared to a B. Sc. in enviromental science. I know it would be a different study of science, but like what would you really do? What do people class themselves as "curvy." Is it like super skinny waist then curves out, a little fat that curves out or is it just something people say to deny their fat? I don't know. I ask because I know a fat person who considers themselve "curvy". So which costs more, your obsession with shopping or starbucks? Franklin? Why did you pick that name? Was it the color? As for the pictures, theres a big difference between the first and last. No, I'm just kidding. Numbers 2-4 are the best pics Anyways, don't take the comment about the dif. between pic.1 and 7 as offensive. But I'm sorry to hear that you like the J. Bro's and Demi. Anyways, good luck to you in getting your B.Sc. I hope you do

[OfficialBed] - Awe, thanks. [walkerdoug] - It is just a little more specialized in environmental ideas. like you can take a lot of different streams of science. Curvy for me is not fat. I am not the thinnest person around that is for sure, but I definitely have a girl's body. Shopping is far more expensive. I buy a lot of clothes, shoes and jewellry. His name is Franklin since that is an awesome name and has nothing to do with the turtle. Franklin is blue. I like how you think there is such a difference in the pictures. The thing about it the only difference is that my hair is dry and I am wearing a little bit of concealer for the bags under my eyes, but other than that it is the same day as the pictures with my glasses. You do not need to be sorry for my love of JB and Demi. They are talented, do not try to tell me otherwise. You do not have to like their music but within their genre they are talented. Demi is involved with the writing process and her voice is amazing. And Nick Jonas writes, composes, and plays the drums, guitar and piano on nearly all of the songs. Just because Disney broke them, does not make them untalented.

I have never been called LoLo before, but I wouldn't hate it. LayLay wouldn't bother me, I don't think. But another one of my nicknames is Lahlah or LAH because of my intitals. I can't even remotely imagine being 21. I am so stuck on 18. Shopping can be so addicting eh. You do spend a lot of time waiting for your drinks at Starbucks! But most of the its completely worth it. I would be so addicted to coffee if I worked in a coffee shop - having easy access to it. Peace is awesome. Simple. We should talk more often, I always read your blogs as well. There is a lot of awesome people on this site. It makes me happy. PM if you ever want to chat, I am always checking my inbox. Even when I am not really present on the site. My glasses are new, I have been trying to wear them more often.
