GUNS N' F'N ROSES!!!!!
Friday, Sep 26, 2008

I can't believe it. I've been waiting for this news for years. The new Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy, finally has a release date! November 25, 2008 will be a day to remember. For you Americans, the album is exclusive to Best Buy. The album has been in the making for almost two decades, but only two months remain. Also, the song If The World will feature in the new Leonardo DiCaprio film, Body Of Lies, which releases next month. Every Chinese Democracy song has been taken off Youtube, except for the one in Rock Band 2, so that's the only sample I can post now. It's not the best song I've heard on Chiese Democracy, but it has some crazy guitar work. It's called Shacklers Revenge.

Moving on from this epic news, it's been a while since I've posted a blog. I haven't been on Gamespot much the past while. I've been very busy with school. I normally don't finish to somewhere between 6 and 7 PM, and the time I'm home and had dinner, it's about 8 and I'm really tired.

I pre-ordered Fable II a few weeks ago. It looks really good and interesting. Since I pre-ordered it, I'll also get Fable II Pub Games free, which is cool. Also, the original Banjo-Kazooie is set for release on November 26 for 1,200 Microsoft points. I just realised that it's being released the day after Chinese Democracy, how cool is that. That'll be a week to remember!

That's about all exciting for now, sorry I haven't been posting in many blogs, and I know I always ramble on about Guns N' Roses and music on a video game site, but I'm so excited at the moment.

Have a great week.

I've been back in school for nearly two weeks now, and I have no time what-so-ever. Last week I was still doing homework at 10PM. I was given English homework to do over the weekend. The homework was an essay, and the title was: "The Joys Of...". I chose "The Joys Of Led Zeppelin", and at the moment I have 7 A4 pages of NOTES, so I still have to do the essay, which will come to about 10 A4 pages. Physics is killing me. I just can't do it. It's like algebra that kicks you in the nuts and laughs at you. That's the best was I can describe it. I spent two and a half hours on a single physics question last week.

Moving on, I got Mercenaries 2 last week, though I haven't played THAT much of it, as I've been busy with the Led Zeppelin essay. From what I've played, I really like it, though I'm having trouble with the online. I've only managed to connect with one person, and whenever I search for a game, nothing happens. Needs fixing.

I'm starting to look forward to the release of Fable 2 next month. I'll be pre-ordering it soon, because if you pre-order it from GAME.co.uk, you get Fable 2 Pub Games for free. October 24 is still a bit away, but I look forward to it.

That's about it for now, the reason I haven't commented in many blogs the past while is because I'm only on Gamespot for about 10 minutes a day on weekdays, so I don't have the time.

Have A great week.

Has anyone seen or heard about the new game from Codemasters called Fuel? It's my dream game. If a developer came to me and said "Dan, I'm going to make you any game you want, just tell me what you want". I think I'd describe something very similar to Fuel. For those that haven't heard about it, it's an open world racing game set in North America. Only difference is that Global Warming has taken over and the world is really suffering. The game has tornadoes, blizzards, sandstorms, tsunamis, heavy rainstorms and pretty much every extreme weather effect. The area is HUGE. Imagine this, Paradise City (from Burnout Paradise) is 250 square miles, while the area in Fuel is 5,000 square miles. It'll support 15 players online and it should be launching Spring / Summer 2009 (though I can see it getting delayed til Christmas 2009, but we'll see). Check out this dev diary of the game.

I've been playing Burnout Paradise a lot and I got all 420 challenges done. Feels great to have them out of the way, and now I can look forward to downloading the bikes pack in a few weeks. Criterion Games released a statement on their site saying that the pack is with Microsoft and Sony, so it should be released "SOON".

Last Wednesday I saw Metallica live....sort of. They were playing in this huge park, and I stood outside, with a pretty good view mind you. I heard them play some stuff off their new album (wasn't that good), and I heard them play Enter Sandman. I'm really hyped for AC/DC to begin their world tour in October. I REALLY hope to get tickets to see them. They should be in Ireland around this time next year. For those of you interested, AC/DC's new album, Black Ice, launches October 20, 2008.

One last thing...can you believe Summer is over? I'm back to school next Wednesday after almost four months off. Pretty frickin' crazy.

That's is for now, have a great week.

danieloc92 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could danieloc92 possibly have for not rating a single film?
