Ok tv.com folks those of us left after the sites daily drama and the end of regular tv season. Keep it short and sweet folks since it's been awhile and I have a few other things to do before I can put up the last cruise pics blog. Just checking in had a few things to talk about and as the title eludes too Mj's death sent me over the edge.

Ed mcmahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson What The Frack!

Well folks started this week with the death of Mcmahon late night legend and the best side kick on tv and not even at the end of the business week. Last night I hear about the death of Fawcett and hours later what the hell the friggin king of pop drops dead. I guess the thing that freaking me out the most is that this month 4 people have died at my church and as we have seen publicly the shootings and mass murder that's afoot on a large scale. There's a lot of death going on and I don't get it sign of the times oh and the fact that I finally saw the Iranian protest bystander Neda die and the whole Iranian situation in general has me looking at life a little closer. Mortality is all in the air and where reminded of it more than ever. I don't know just wanted to let that off my chest a few family issues I won't talk about helped this blog but after all that drama and finding out Michael Jackson was dead had to let it out.

New Job?

On to other issues I am looking for a new job since I have all these certifications and am closing in on number 3 and Verizon Wireless has become very hard and why work hard if you don't have too. Pray for me there are IT jobs at Methodist hospital but so far only customer service folks have called and I really want one of those it jobs.

Movie Fri

Well last movie I recall seeing was

Photobucket

Nice cheesy horror film it was made by the same guy that did the Evil Dead series so you have horror camp for days. It relied mostly on loud music and gore but it was a fun little romp.

Well that's it for now folks I will hit all of your blogs between now and Monday take care.

It's definitely been a rough week for the entertainment industry. Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett were both in the "It's a matter of time" category, but Michael Jackson was a complete shock.

None of them our dead!! Their souls live in the hearts of all who remember them!! And that's ALOT of people!! So they are FAR from dead, ESPECIALLY if their stories are passed from generation to generation.See souls are made of the memories that people have of creating themselves: Discovering hobbies, inspiring moments, moments when goals are set and dreams are made and those memories that gave them strengh. By holding onto and cherishing all of these memories, you keep your soul and the souls of your friends and loved ones alive (since they are part of those memories) So you keep them alive and as you get older you pass these memories down and this message, this is how we keep ourselves alive beyond leaving this world. Best of luck finding a job and I'm glad you had fun at the movies.

I was so shocked by Michael Jackson's death, didn't quite believe it at first. You're right though, so much death in the news etc at the moment, it really is so sad.

Good luck with your job hunt, I'm sure you'll do well!I still haven't managed to see Drag me to Hell, might wait for the DVD now. Anyway, take care

badgersmuffin-great to hear from you and the dvd will be better. The movie was too loud my brother prompted us to move back further from the screen due to the unnecessary loudness.

Hi Danharr, It has been a truly sad week hasn't it. Michael's voice and music will live on, I will remember that little boy with the voice that melted your soul. One of my favorite songs of Michael's was "Ben". RIP

The entertainment and music industry has been hit hard. They all made a mark and meant something to many. They will all be missed.

I hope you get that job that you really want. Prayers will go up for you about it.

You said my word...CHEESY.

Well, it is hard to say. I didn't much think of it. I wasn't a fan. But I am a sociologist, and the thing that I did observe is that everybody was talking about. I stopped by a Safeway on my way to work to get a coffee, and everybody - and I do mean everybody - the costomers, the employees, people just standing around...didn't matter what else their were doing...we talking about it, some talkig about his kids, some talking about all the allogations, some talking about medical conditions, some speculating on the cause of death. That is when I realized that I really didn't know who MJ was and that he had left a mark on this culture greater than I would have thought. I wached a MJ tribute on BET last night about his activism and it put MJ in a whole new light for me.

Yes in the aftermath I to see how one dimensional my view was of him. I pretty much let the odd behavior and allegations allow me to just forget about him.
