So today is 31st October, which is also HALLOWEEN! While Halloween isn't as fun as when it was when you're a kid, I still love to get into the spirit so I'd thought I'd ask everyone's scariest game OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!

I'm not really the one to play scary games, but one is a complete stand-out:

dead space

For those who haven't played Dead Space, it is truly terrifying. You slowly walk round an alien infested spaceship, in a complete nervous wreck. One stand out moment was when I was walking through the corridors when I saw an Alien's corpse, and I slowly walked over to it, my line gun equipped. I stood over it for a few seconds when BAM! it jumped up and started trying to tear my limbs apart.

So, what's the scariest game you've ever played? Any game, any platform.

Okay guys. Stay Safe.

And Happy Halloween!

For me id have to say the original resident evil, back when it was released it was quite creepy. I agree dead space was awesome and it had great atmosphere as well. And a happy halloween to you as well.

I'd say the scary game I ever played was Bioshock. I'm playing dead space right now and I just don't think it's as scary as Bioshock.

I made a blog about Dead Space VS Bioshock if you want to see.

Dead Space. Resident Evil 4 is directly underneath that one.

Dead Space is creepy. But I personally prefer Silent Hill type of games. Silent Hill Homecoming is scary.

Happy Halloween and scariest game I have played is Dead Space.

For me it would have to be the original Doom because nothing beats playing a game in the dark and hearing groaning coming from somewhere.

Happy Halloween.I never played Dead Space,so I can't say if it's scary or not.The scariest game I ever played is of course Silent Hill Origins...it is so scary that I gave up.

The fun has come back for us, what with the two kids going out now.
At the time, the scariest game was probably AD&D: Cloudy Mountain on the Intellivision. I was very young, and I couldn't play it alone, as the monsters scared me.

I think the original Silent Hill for the ps1 was scary. I always got an eerie feeling while playing the game as a teenager. It gave me the creeps back in the day. Dead Space is awesome too though, I loved it. There were many ''crap in your pants'' moments.

I totally agree with you, Dead Space is the scariest game i have ever played.

Happy halloween.

Yeah, man. I played the demo for Dead Space and thought...this is NOT for me. I'm not sure I could get through the whole game with that much suspense. It's bad enough playing a regular game and I'm on edge because I don't want to die and have to restart from a checkpoint, but Dead Space was 100x that level of suspense.

Happy Halloween, Dead space

for some odd reason it just didn't care me that much silent hill scared me and the resident evil remake scared the hell out of me but this game is more tense than scary for me but still its a great game

My favorite one as of now is probably Silent Hill 2.

dead space for me
Posted Nov 1, 2009 10:28 am PT
I've never been scared from a game.

Well, i played dead space, and i found out that people don't understand the difference between scare and fear. Something that scares you is something momentary, like the surprise element, it makes your senses sharp, and you react fastly, scared by the imminent danger. Fear is something that stays with you all the time, for me those things are satanists, dolphins parasites whatever. So scary, well yeah dead space too. By the way: Based on actual facts, more people have fear to the spiders than death. I don't fear any of them.

Dead Space was great and Doom 3 as well
Posted Nov 2, 2009 7:22 am PT
dead space isn't scary but depends what age you are

I haven't played too many scary games, but BioShock was pretty creepy. And Fallout 3, too. Pint-Sized Slasher!

Happy belated Halloween. I may be a bit late, but meh

I'd have to say Doom. Sure, it's no longer scary now, but when I was kid, I was terrified easily by its dark corridors, and of course, the surprise encounters with the Barons of Hell and the dreaded Cyberdemon

littlebigplanet by far
Posted Nov 3, 2009 2:42 pm PT
