After seeing some of the game videos has convinced me to get a PS3. I'm really impressed by Motorstorm which is a game that I really really want and since its PS3 exclusive is even more of a reason to get it.
I plan on getting the $599 model with Motorstorm and most likely another game. I'm not sure of the launch titles but I'm sure they'll be a few more that I'll want and another controller. My main conern it getting the console.
Only reason I get a 360 end of Novemeber last year was because I got extremely lucky, so I'm not couting on luck to get my PS3 this year.

Yeah well I'll have to really start saving soon if I want to live in my own house in the next couple of years.

Well I might camp, depends really if I can pre-order one or not. Even if I pre-order i might still camp just to make sure I get one on launch day. I don't want to take any chances.

im definatley going to get one, question of when though. i want one at launch but im not sure ill have enough by then. im hoping ill magically stumble upon a couple hundered by novemeber or ill be like $100-$200 shy. i havent started saving yet and im getting subs for my car here in a couple weeks. im looking foreward to motorstorm as well, EXCELLENT graphics. however i heard the gameplay was average

Finally i have locked in my Play Station 3. After months of calling and asking are they taking pre orders at EB Games and Gamestop...Finally on 10/9/06 I called and asked would they be having pre orders and they finally said YES. As soon as i got the good news i told all of u guys on here with my forum called "Finally we can pre order!!!". a lot of u basters didnt feel me at frist but when i put the #s of the actual gamestores on my forum, u all became witness. It was my pleasure to give all of the PS3 fans the great news that we had all been waiting for.
I was the first at the EB games by my house this morning along with my best friend...when 9am arrived more and more people started to show up wantting to be the first to pre order the PS3. By the time that 10am hit, there was a good 15 people there. When the store finally did open, the manager of the store came to the door and said, "Well I have good news and bad news. Well we are excepting pre orders for the PS3, but we are only taking 1 pre order."
WTF!!!!!!! We were all shocked when he uttered thoes words. Just at that same EXACT moment, i proudly walked my ass in the store to pre order my PS3. Now here is the second shocker. While i was in the process of making my pre order, the manager told me that they really have 4 PS3's but the first 3 were already taken by felloiw EB employees. At that moment i really didnt give a danm because i juast was glad that i was getting one. But not that i think about it in retrospec... Thats some Bull S*%t. As employees they shouldnt get first dibs...thats not fair to the average consumer. Thats almost as bad as the danm rich kids that buy 4 PS3's and sell the 3 of them on E Bay for double the price... F*%k that.
After i secured mines i took my friend around the corner to Gamestop and they had just started gaining a line. In that line my friend was # 10. When it was my friend's turn in the store the store clerk said that he was lucky # 10. He had just pre ordered the very last PS3. But to me, what really makes the situation so funny is that all of the game stores opened up at 10am...By 10:30am all of the game stores in Kansas City Mo. were completely sold out...more noteworthy than that...no one knows when there will be another shipment.
If u are just learning about the PS3 pre orders and u didnt get ur ass down to the game store today...then who knows when u will get one. Good luck fight them danm old people at Wal-Mart and Target

Nice story dude. I have one too but I don't feel like retyping it so I'm going to go look for it. btw I'm number 3 at my EB Games.
