Well I thought that I wanted to be a computer tech. So far I'm doing pretty good for myself but I don't exactly enjoy it all the time. Course there are very few jobs that are enjoyable all of the time.

Anyway I've been thinking of becoming a State Trooper. There's a place by me in Bel Air that does the training so I would be set. It takes 25 weeks to complete the training and you get 66 college credits on top of that. So if I ended up not liking it I would atleast have a lot of credits to aid me else where. Chances are I will be doing this at the exact same time and place as my best friend.

Also one of my options is becoming SWAT, but I don't think I'm ready for that this early in my life.

Pay isn't amazing for the first couple of years, but all the benifits you get easily make up for that.

Being a cop is something that I've always thought about growing up. Now it seems that I can make this a career.

State Trooper academy is no joke. My friends dad is a cop and I was talking to him about it. Tells me that it's easily comparable to military boot camp which is fine.

I went to military camp for a whole summer like 5 years ago or something and I adapted just fine, so I have know worries about this training. Of course I will exercise like a mofo 2 months of so before the training begins to make all the exercises easier.

Now none of this is written in stone so to speak. I like to keep my options open for other things.

I will most likely start training around a year or less after I complete my senior year. So we'll see what happens. I might even start it as soon as I finish if I really don't feel like working at my current job anymore.

GAH! state troopers are the worst, they always show up at court when you try to fight a ticket!

my friend wants to be a cop too though, i guess its becoming popular just dont be a douche cop please

Well speaking of court, I actually got a ticket last Wensday. The cop lied though which really pisses me off, saying I did 94 in a 55, whe it was more like 82-84 in a 55. Yeah I know I was speeding, but don't make it worse then it already is. Anyway the car has been treating me very well. I love it more and more everyday. Just a few minutes ago I finished installing my Valentine 1 radar detector so I don't run into anymore tickets. I assume the detector will easily pay for itself over time. Cops just love the car... in a bad way. Oh well atleast I have a huge advantage now. And btw I got the detector to protect myself. I don't speed like a mad man on the highway or anywhere else. It's because the cop pulled me over when I was going almost the same speed as everyone else. At most there was a 2-4 mile an hour difference between me and all the other people on the road if not less. I know the main reason I got pulled over is because of the car I was driving and cop figured it was some teenager driving it. ALRIGHT FOR SOME REASON GS ISN'T GIVING ANY OF MY POSTS PARAGRAPHS!

wow, that is speeding, i only got nailed for a 6 over one time, never for that much. i know where all the cops are gonna be from experience. and fast (or any new car in general) cars always make you want to drive fast.

Congrats for finding the balls to try to pursue in that field of work. I've always wanted to be a Police officer but after looking into I'm not really sure anymore I just don't think its really for me.
