season greetings to all of you ....

but not spring greetings, yeah, you hear me it's winter in austria!!!!

we only had 2 winter days this winter. where we had snow in the valleys so we could go tobogganging with our kids. we had 20 degrees the last 3 month. and now, when it finally should become spring, winter is back! this is just crazy you know. and i'm sick of the snow this time of year.

all my sweet spring flowers are covered in snow ....

but to equip you with some more knowledge of austria, than our crazy weather i'd like to introduce you to a little village in the north east of austria. i don't know, if you already know that town but it's called

this is not a joke, this is reality! funny thing about the picture, it says at the bottom: "not so fast please" ..... hihihi

i once heard, that the highest communal expenses are the replacing of the place-name sign. they get stolen every second day. isn't that crazy!? i wonder, why they wouldn't rename the village. i wouldn't wanna live in that town. but they also claim, that the town's name existed since 1070. and this is quite some time .....

but now it's time again for the

Oh, I feel your pain about the winter - I feel the same way about the snow surrounding me...

REALLY??? NOT a joke? (Talking about the town now) well I found it strangely amusing

Very nice popy music, and such pretty girls

It doesn't look like spring around me either with all the snow we got Friday and Saturday, so I feel your pain. I hope your flowers are hardy and they survive.

I'm not surprised the town sign gets stolen all the time, it is a sad commentary about the state of people these days.

Have a great day.

I've actually heard about that town's name before. It's good that you don't live there. (I hope the mods don't get bothered by the picture though. Maybe you could set up a hyperlink to the picture instead.)

I have to run but I'll listen to the singers later on. Hope you get some warm weather soon.

hey monster, so you don't have spring either, ha!? that sucks! and i'm glad at least somebody didn't knew about our special town in austria. i found out about it 5 years ago. but normally this is one thing the whole world knows about austria, next to mozart, hermann maier and the sound of music .... hehe.

have a great day!

hey greta, oh yeah you are soooo right about the people. but i think, mostly guys are stealing the sign, i can't imagine a woman doing it. can you? or would you? i mean, what would i do with such a sign? hang it at my front door? and how can you even get it across the border? only men can do it, because they don't think stuff through, hehe .... sorry guys but i know i am right.

have a great day too greta!

hi home, you surprise me everytime with your huge amount of knowledge about austria! you know all the important stuff. hihi. sorry that sounds a bit too sarkastic. i'm really impressed by your knowledge. yeah and i hope i don't offend somebody with the pic. i know that this is a very sensitive matter in the states. i didn't use the name of the town in my blog, although, i mean, that's the name of the town. what can i do? and i think it's just funny. i hope everybody can see, that i don't wanna start troubles, and if somebody really is offended, i will simply erase that part.

have a great day!

jejeje the photo is fantastic...
I live in Puerto Rico a small island in the Caribbean so I am the total opposite of you, we don't get snow at all. Jejeje it's always spring around here.
Take care, Isa

We had a little snow this week-end, but here really it's the cold that is driving me crazy.

In my experience when people think of Austria around here and people famous coming from there it goes to Sissi, the girl I work with read a book about her and she was special (and not in a good way). I think it's funny the sign and I do hope you wont have any trouble about it.

On a personal note: do you remember me telling you, you look like my cousin? well, you still do, but she had her kidney transplant last week so she'll be with us for many more years.

hey isa, i'd love to switch places with you right now. i know puerto rico, it's next to the domenican republik, right? (i hope i spelled it correct). some friends of mine have just been at trinidad and tobago a week ago. they told awesome things .... i'd love to make holidays in the caribbean sometime. .... have a wonderful spring-day!

hi iphigenie! poor you, i hate it too, when it's tooo cold. how cold is it right now?

and yei .... sissy. you are totally right! i completely forgot. there has been a sissy hype a few years back. sissy is very famous in japan i think.

great news on your cousin. that's awesome! how is she doing? went the operation well? this is really good news! have a nice afternoon!

Winter, winter, go away.... *Sigh* Spring does really need to roll around. The village name is funny. I wouldn't want to live there either.

hey bb, i get from meeting you at my blog, that your problems with tv.com went away?! can you read everything now!? funny thing, i tried to answer your blog today, but it wouldn't work. i always got to a blank site. same happend at home's profile. but now, that you got 40 answers i'll give it another try.

Well, she's still has 2 weeks to go in hospital (modern medicine amazes me, you have a transplant and you're out 3 weeks later) and after that she'll go a week with her sister because she'll still need to be near her doctor. Then she'll go home and she lives in the same building as her parents so she'll still be near someone if something should happen. They say the first year after the transplant is the one that is dangerous, but for once in my life I'll me an optimist.
Posted Mar 21, 2007 4:05 pm PT
hi iphigenie, you need to be an optimist. i think it supports her healing process, when you are strong and believe in her cure. that's great if you can do that. and with the whole family around, i'm sure she will be fine. that's really great. keep me postet, ok!? nice greetings to canada and especially to your cousin! dany

Today it poured rain. I loved every second of it.
Posted Mar 23, 2007 7:26 pm PT
hey sassy, well i could even feel it through the internet how much you loved it. maybe we haven't been good enough. you know, in austria, we have a saying, when you are a good girl, eat everything up, weather will be nice. but it must have been the others. we are such nice girls, aren't we!? have a great day
