I've be playing videogames for a long time now (since about 4-5 at my Unlce's....Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt were the first games I ever played on his NES), but I must admit this is the most I've ever been involved in them. I have a console, Gamecube, that I try to play often enough, but some of the games don't like me, and it really sucks (some of the games that is.....honest to god, I think i get motion sickness when I play Metroid Prime.....every time I play it, I break into a sweat within the first half hour). I got my Nintendo DS two days after it came out, and I still play my GBA for multiplayer (anyone else sensing a serious Nintendo vibe?). However, I also have a special place in my heart for Microsoft.

At first, I was never a fan of the X-Box. To tell the truth, I hated it. At the time that the system launched, I had a PS2 running wild through my head, and got it the summer after the X-Box came out. I traded the piece of crap in last year (finally!!) for my 'Cube, and haven't regretted it since. However, while I may have started out hating Microsoft because of Sony's brainwashing, I have NEVER, EVER hated Halo. It looked interesting the first time I saw some of its screenshots, and was great the first time I ever played it at my friends' house (automatic 2v2.....they're triplets).

So, noticing my love for Halo, I was totally pulled in by the hype of the release of Halo 2. The game kept getting delayed, but when it finally came out, I played it the next day. I've been playing it every weekend ever since it came out, but have never played it online until today, April 26th, 2005. Yesterday (25th, duh) my other friends (also with X-Boxes) downloaded the first Halo 2 maps, Containment and Warlock, but logged of X-Box Live afterwards so we could explore/play the maps by ourselves. Today came a welcome first for me in gaming...the first time I played online console gaming (because of my addiction to Halo, I bought the game for PC and play it online regularly, but we're talking consoles here people). After downloading Turf and Sanctuary, we played online, and I must say.....it was truly an amazing experience. Sure there's a little lag, but none compared to PC Halo. I'm definitely getting an X-Box 2 (prefer they call it that over X-Box 360).

Now that I'm addicted to Halo (again), I can truly say the place in my heart for Microsoft is much more evident. Sure, I still love Nintendo the most, but what's the point of having three available consoles if you can't love more than one? If you're asking about Sony, I most definitely have a special place for them......right by the turds in my toilet.

lol, I never liked microsoft really, only Ninja Gaiden is good on Xbox to me. I like the PS2, though I don't have one, there are so many awesome RPG's for it, including the RPG's for the PS1 that can be played on it. I don't like my Cube too much, it's ok, but I sold my Dreamcast to get it...A really stupid mistake, now I have my DC back after I just couldn't take it anymore. Going from the DC to the GC was like taking a peice of gold and then selling it for a door stop. I love Nintendo and have had all their systems, but the Cube is just pushing it for me, it's just the games...There's not enough truely classic ones on it.

i agree that the cube has only a few good games, and they're only from one company...Nintendo. The lack of third-party support is literally killing the Cube. Hopefully they'll see better support with the Revolution.
