Whoo Christmas! I hope everyone's was happy and safe (we've had some crazy weather in my neck of the woods). I also hope Santa, or whichever Christmas figure you hold dear, was good to you. Before the blogs get bloated with "What I Got For Xmas" posts, let me jump in too!

Books

Gorgeous George - As duly noted several times previous, I'm a big time wrestling fan and writer for a few organizations around the state. As such, I love delving into the story of the first true "gimmick" in wrestling.

Hitman - No, not some lame novelization of the movie or game, but the autobiography of Bret "Hitman" Hart, long regarded as one of the best wrestlers in the business. This book is HUGE, as Bret kept detailed audio journals throughout his career.

Games (and game-related type stuff)

Far Cry 2 w/ Strategy Guide (PS3) - My mom wanted to know about any games I wanted for Xmas, I presented her with a list of at least a dozen. This was at the top of the list, pretty much because that's the first one I wrote down. I'm pretty busy balancing Fable 2 and Silent Hill: Homecoming right now, so I haven't had a chance to try it out.

PS Network Money - Now I finally can try out some of the cool games I see in the PS Store. Any suggestions?

Dual Shock 3 Controller - Now I can feel the full tactile feedback of the whopping 3 PS3 games I own!

Xbox Live Gold Subscription - A yearly tradition continues! My Gold membership is now secure until April of 2010!

Movies!

The Dark Knight 2-Disc Collector's Edition - It's apparently a Target exclusive (?) with the discs in a plastic Batman head. THe packaging is cool but the movie is the year's best. Bring on the Oscars!

Mama's Family (Season 1) - I'm a connoisseur of more cl@ssic shows, as I'm more likely to put on I Love Lucy than Friends, or The Dick Van Dyke Show over Two and a Half Men. I realize this show doesn't fall into "cl@ssic" territory, but I love it.

Drawn Together (Season 3) - Hmmm, this doesn't look good given my previous rant in favor of cl@ssic TV. Eh, what can I say, it's a guilty pleasure.

The Simpsons (Season 11) - Die hard Simpsons fan since Day One, yo. And I mean DAY ONE, as in watching Tracey Ullman faithfully just to catch the next short. Word up homies.

The Super Mario Bros. Super Show (Vol. 2) - I fondly remember rushing home from school everyday to watch this. Good times.

Full Metal Jacket (Blu-Ray) - One of the finest war movies, heck , the finest movies period, ever made. Plus it's an endlessly quoteable film. Who's got one for me?

I also got some nifty odds 'n ends, like a leg lamp from A Christmas Story, some more of the heart-stutteringly awesome Mighty Muggs (Ghost Rider and Dr. Henry Jones FTW!), and I "inherited" the wifey's old 32-gig iPod when she opened up her new iPod Touch, courtesy of yours truly.
