A belated happy Turkey Day to all, and I hope you celebrated in a way most enjoyable to you, be it devouring a huge bird carcass until you're fit to burst, or by sitting all day playing video games.

The wifey and I once again braved the sea of stupidity known as Black Friday, as we do every year, mainly for the awesome DVD sales, leaving everyone else to battle to the death over a $300 computer. I myself got a hell of a bruise from a shopping cart wielding lady scooping up DVD's by the handful.

Geez lady, I know Iron Man was a great movie, but what are you gonna do with 10 copies? Is your life more complete now that you have 5 copies of TMNT? All total, I shelled out close to 150 smackers for DVD's this year, but I'm OK with that. Aside from the odd new release, this is the only time of year I really buy movies.

At Target, Mercenaries 2 for $40 plus a $20 gift card I had chilling on my person equals the first brand-spankin'-new PS3 game I've ever bought. I've heard some horror stories about glitches aplenty, but I've luckily not encountered anything yet. I'm not incredibly far into the game yet, but it seems like a good time to me, and I even got my first PS3 Trophies. Biggity bam!

So did anyone else out there brave the crowds on Friday? Any interesting battle stories to tell?

I went to exactly one store on Friday, a Circuit City that is closing....... I got there late, so the crowds had already done their damage.

I always spend $0 on Black Friday. I have work too, of course, but it was at 3 PM until 11 PM that night, but nonetheless, I spent nothing that day and refuse to spend money on that day. That's just me though.
