Gamespot was redesigned about two months ago, and a lot of people knew it was coming soon for TV.com. They announced it here about a week ahead of time and the new version showed up on Wednesday.

Hi crazyrhythm, It's pretty confusing and totally buggy and as for the warning as Mac-Ale said last Wednesday we were told of the change. Unfortunately things weren't tested before hand so it's a trial and error system. Some things take and then a few minutes later you get error messages, bumping to the home page, page not found etc. Sorry to hear about your computer. At least it wasn't a tv.com meltdown.

Crazy, I don't think you were so much out of the loop as we weren't given all that much notice. I'm getting more and more pleased with the site as I navigate it. However, the coloring does absolutely stink, we need darker font, and that bright blue is searing to the eyes. grrr.

A while ago Jaxie had a blog asking what kinds of changes people would like to see. Unfortunately, they seem to have ignored all the comments.

You know the old saying, CR. The more things change, the more they stay the same. They change the layout at TV.com but it only makes things worse.

I'm not too greatly impressed, myself. This is only the second time I've gotten on since the change. I've been expecting some feedback on some posts I made for Hawaii Five-O, and I haven't the faintest idea where my mailbox is--it no longer shows when I log on. It may be that the editor hasn't gotten around to them yet, but there's no way to tell. Plus, the site seems to be very sluggish. I'm used to that on my home computer, but when I'm here at work it used to move very quickly. Don't like all this white, either.

Plain white backgrounds are supposed to load faster, but here they don't. I now expect sluggishness as a given here, since the overall, top-down thinking seems to be everyone is a gamer with turbo-charged, up to the minute systems. Hardly.
