First week of May, I had four AP exams. How fun! English language? It was okay. Spanish language? Don Juan I am not! English literature? Alright, except for the stupid essays. Not that I don't like essays, they just pick the most boring stuff to write about. Calculus AB? Ha! Just read my previous blog to find out how bad I thought it would be, then multiply that by "the integral from 0 to pi of the ln(x) dx" to find out how bad it really was!
At the end of that hellish week, I had a reprieve. Prom! I had asked my friend Maureen to go with me, but she wanted to go stag because all of her friends were. My friend Katie had asked our friend Dan to go. He was being weird about the whole thing, and finally ended up going with someone else. I will neve figure that kid out. So, Katie and I were there for each other in our "hours of need" and went with each other. She took her good old time coming to meet me before the dance, but after that, it was really fun. A lot of the time, though, we were separated and dancing with other people. Oh well, it was an awesome night. Post-prom was awesome. We had the most amazing magician and illusionist. They were so amazing, everyone was freaking out!
Got home at 5:30 after post-prom, and got a few hours sleep. Then my family went on a three-hour drive to my cousin's wedding reception (and had a few fights trying to find our way there). Receptions are always fun, but this one was kind of unorthodox. My mom and aunt both said that they did everything out of order (like the cake-cutting and dancing). Plus, they had a giant roast pig for dinner. One very good thing: I participated in the garter-toss for the first time in my life. Didn't catch it
On the 12th, me and my vice principal went up to Harrisburg for a luncheon with the bishop, since I was a National Merit Semifinalist. There were six other kids from the diocese there. They were all really cool. Fun time.
Two weeks ago, we got yearbooks. I was the copy editor, but was kind of lax in my duties this year. What can I say? Senioritis! Fortunately, my friends, also editors, could always cover for me. It's a good book, but everyone's picture looks idiotic--especially mine!
Last week was finals. I was exempt from all of them except Calc (big surprise). Didn't think anything could be worse than the AP exam, but this was. I got half of it done. Half. Whatever--as long as I pass the class for the year, I dont give a ****. I'm going to shut up about it now, because I never want to think about that class again.
Last Thursday was our last day of classes. WOO-HOO! We did nothing all day but sign yearbooks, and let out a great big AMEN after the final prayers. We're done, and we survived!
Graduation ceremonies are this week. Awards ceremony tomorrow, Baccaleureate on Wednesday, and Graduation on Thursday. Can't wait! We have graduation outside in our stadium, so hopefully we'll have good weather--I DO NOT want to be crowded into the gym. I'll let you know how everything goes--and I PROMISE I'll do this one on time!
