I recently moved out of my dad's house in New Jersey to live with my mom in Pennsylvania cause I couldn't deal with his crap anymore. I think it was September 4th when I moved here to be exact. I started a new school on September 29th. one of the hardest things has been not seeing my old friends and having to see new people everyday at school. I'm actually going to a career and tech center so no academic classes this year. well except for a college level english class that I'm required to take wednesday and thursday for an hour. the school is alright, I think I just miss my old school and friends too much to enjoy this one. I've been with the same girl for a little over 15 months now. well we had some problems inbetween and had to break up for a little while over the summer because of her mom but that's a long story. we're still going strong. but I rarely go on Gamespot anymore, I rarely play video games either. since my brother was the one that owned an Xbox 360, I couldn't play that anymore cause he lives back in New Jersey. I had a few Xbox 360 games, I took those with me so I could sell them to get a cell phone again. I could have played them when he came here cause I had some good ones like Resident Evil 5, Dead Rising and Gears Of War but it was pointless to keep them if I could only play them a couple times a month when my brothers came here, they still come every other weekend to see my mom. I still haven't been able to sell Condemned: Criminal Origins and Condemned 2: Bloodshot. I loved the first one but I only made it through a little of the second one. I still had my Gamecube though with most of my original games. some of the ones that I had that are considered classic for that system are the Mario games, The Legend Of Zelda, Metroid and of course Super Smash Bros. Melee and Resident Evil 4 just to name a few. I still loved those games but got tired of them fast due to the fact that I've had all of those games anywhere between about 1 1/2 and 7 years and I beat most of them at least a few times. and I've already had a couple PS2s before so I decided that I wanna get the game system I never owned from the last generation of video game systems. the Xbox.
I'm not made of money so I can't get an Xbox 360 right now but I really don't feel like getting one of them anyway because if there were any games that I really wanted to play that bad then I could just buy that game and play it on my brothers Xbox 360. also, I could probably find a used one for as low as $100 or something but then I gotta buy games and everything which would be too much. so today, I put up a post on craigslist. I decided to sell my Gamecube, 7 controllers (I just randomly ended up with them sometimes), a Game Boy Player and of course, 26 games. I used to have more than that but anyway.. I knew I was gonna miss that thing and some of its great games but I figured it's time to get another game system so I can be less bored on the days where I'm stuck at home. about a half hour after I posted that, I had someone offer me $125 for everything. I liked that offer and then less than a couple hours later I got a call from someone saying they would give me $160 for everything. I decided right there I'd go with that, no argument there. he got a good Gamecube collection and I got more than enough money to start an Xbox collection. I also had made a post about wanting an Xbox. if worst came to worst, I'd just buy one for $50 at Gamestop. but I wanted to see if anyone could offer me a good deal. I actually made posts about an Xbox like a week ago just in case I did get money any time soon. I got an email around that time from a guy about an Xbox with some stuff and didn't really hear much from him but I tried emailing him again today and he answered back with his number and told me to call if I was interested. as it turns out, he has an Xbox with a couple wireless controllers, the thing to watch DVDs on it and 37 games. and what's even better is that when I offered $100, he said that's fine. I now have the $160 that I got for selling the Gamecube and stuff and I can buy that Xbox with all that stuff and still have $60 leftover. I'll have a ton of games to start with and I'll have money to buy more if I want to. it was sad to see my Gamecube go but in the end, they're all just video games and I'm in my last year of high school anyway. with my luck, I feel like the Gamecube is not gonna work for him for some reason and I'll have to buy it back. but if the plans keep going then I'm gonna buy that Xbox and stuff from that guy tomorrow XD
so I don't know if I'll keep coming on here or not too often, I just get bored with this site. I wanna buy a PS3 and/or a Wii whenever I get a job in the future. maybe I'll start coming on then when I have more video games to talk about
I've been a member of this site for over 4 years now and I can't believe I'm only 35% through level 36. I've been on this level since March. oh well.
wow.. lol I made it to level 36, the last time I made it to a new level was on August 1st
but I barely go on Gamespot anymore and I don't even play video games that much anymore. no offense to video games, I still love them, it's just I don't have anything new and I don't have much money to buy new ones lol I really wanna play Resident Evil 5 though.
I don't really sign into Gamespot all that much anymore. I'm usually on Myspace (had one for over 2 years) and Myyearbook which I've only used for about 2 months now. so I'm wondering if anyone else has a profile on either of those sites?
if you do, then add me =]
