I know I for one always check my contacts whenever I'm on my profile page, which is very often throughout the day just to see if there is anyone tracking me.
There are a number of people I have had debates and discussions with on certain topics, so I felt that it would be a good idea to become their friend and track them, so that they could in return do the same thing and we would be able to PM each other and further our discussion on the subject at hand or debate about a certain type of game or gaming style. But no, I have a large number of people I'm tracking that just don't seem to want to track me back and share a mutual friendship.
This place is about making friends, and I feel the more, the better. I especially love reading my friends blogs and seeing what's going on with them when they post a blog every once in awhile, and I would like to have these others that I have started tracking to do the same for me so that I can see their blogs under my tracked blogs, so that I don't have to go search them out on their profile page, because if they had a knowledgable discussion on gaming with me, then they most likely are posting intuitive blogs that I could be tracking and comment on.
Maybe I'm just uncool and nobody wants to be my friend

But yes, I do not think your the only one at all who checks and responds to others blogs when they have a meaningful input they can respond with. =p
Although I can understand why some may not always track those tracking them. Maybe they don't have the time to mutually track everbody, and just being selective.
