Over the days before the Christmas holiday, rumors and 'news items' about a possible third Stargate series began to appear on various Stargate related sites. Both Gateworld and SaveStargate:SG1 were posting news stories based on information garnered from anonymous 'production sources'.
From Gateworld came the announcements that there is to be a third Stargate series added to the franchise and that MGM has officially put an end to plans for a season 11 of Stargate: SG-1. However when I contacted MGM about these two things for official comfirmation, MGM could not confirm either a new series in the works or cancellation of plans for a season 11 of Stargate: SG-1.
From SaveStargateSG-1 came the news that long time Stargate: SG-1 series co-star Michael Shanks had been approached by production to not only reprise his character of Dr. Daniel Jackson, but to become the lead actor of the 3rd Stargate series supposedly in the works.
However, when I contacted him through his publicist, Michael Shanks said that this was "nothing more than the internet rumor mill at work again." That this 'news item' was "totally unfounded" and that he had not been contacted by anyone about starring in a proposed 3rd series. In a recent interview posted on 12/24/06, Michael Shanks told TheScifiWorld's Linda Craddock that he wasn't aware of a third stargate series being planned and that if there was one in the works that the production was keeping it quiet.
So Stargate fandom now waits to see what develops next for the franchise and to see if MGM does indeed make an announcement about the fate of SG-1's possible 11th season and the possiblitity of a third series being added to the franchise.

""Faced with the multitude of tough-yet-gorgeous women on today's TV screens, many viewers have wondered what would happen if several small-screen sirens faced one another in the heat of competition. The answer? A fight to the death, of course! Each of these characters brings a different skill to the ring, and now's your chance to decide which vixen will be crowned the ultimate winner. Vote now, and return often to see how your favorite lady is faring in this all-out Battle of the Babes! ""Sorry I just can't vote because none of these women(ok maybe Starbuck) are truly tough enough to battle each other or be considered 'battling babes' worth watching. Where are the likes of Lois Lane (Erica Durance) of Smallville, Vala Mal Doran (Claudia Black) of Stargate: SG-1, Rommie (Lexa Doig) of Andromeda and Teyla (Rachel Luttrell) of Stargate: Atantis? Now those are tough, saavy ladies who would make give anyone a run for their money in a battle. I'll vote for them any day.

Ben Browder in a genuinely nice man and very articulate. He always has a good grasp of what he wants to see for any character he plays. He has a unique style and brings a very down to earth way of interacting with his co-stars, no ego issues.

cordell01 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could cordell01 possibly have for not rating a single film?
