ATM I cannot think of a good name for it but here goes....

Description.

Set In another world in 2017 in our time. The first world war has been going for 3 yearsin this world. The world is different to ours in many ways. Unlike the technology of our WW1 the world has superior technology to even ours in present times and is being used to devastating effect.. The world was once very beautiful but the ravages of war have already taken its toll across the trenches of France and Belgium, the war is stagnated there. The Old and the New mixes has magic and technology are co existing together.Edazacul injections are used to boost or replenish energy.

Story

You are Corporal James Arras of the British army and in the trenches in Belgium, you are a trained Mage and can perform magic sappingyour own energy. Arras's farther is his Staff Sergeant. Arras is well known in his trench area as he is a cold solider and a crack shot with his Roac Assault Rifle and a ace with a sword. The British are bombarding the German trenches with plasma artillery fire.

The German Empire is the enemy. They have highly trained evil necromancers in their army. These (some human some not) have a larger supply of energy and use pure evil magic. The necromancers have the ability to bring back the dead into life less puppets to do their bidding. Normal German soldiers fightaway from there necromancer Generals as they vomit and faint at the stench of pure evil and of rotting corpse (as will an other human). The corpses are used as the bulk of the German army and are harder to kill as they have no will of there own and will keep getting up until they no longer have a body to use. The German Empire itself is in ruin and literally no longer exists yet the fighting still goes on possibly without the will of the German people.

Gameplay

Same controls as GOW but, holding Y and using Dpad will tap into magic and select available moves. L1 will use any Edazacul injections you have.

You are free to move anywhere within reason. You can move along a long line of high-tech trench and move into no mans land when ordered to or if you feel like suicide. You take orders like going over the top and the whole battle field his a living breathing environment in which all your actions or others actions will have consequences. Battles will be going on constantly overhead. You can disobey orders at will but it will have repercussions on yourself and the story. You could be attacked at any moment or help in assaults on the enemy trenches.

You will be faced with many decisions and each one can throw you out in a different direction and open newpossibilities.

Will you carry on in enrolment and do your bit for your country or will you make your own route maybe making a bigger impact on the war. Or will you follow even darker paths??

Weapons.

Weapons vary from a standard Roac Pistol or Assault rifle to heavy plasma firing machine guns or a Old bow and arrow. Weapon varyfrom state of the art machines to Old swords and spears enhanced (or not) by your magic skill. Weapons can be modified with objects around you and your magic. More info on weapons as I think of it lol.

Magic

Use it at the price of your energy over estimate yourself and use too much and death will b your sentence. Use it to break your environment, bones, weapons, enemies and will. Turn foes upon each other, burst them into flames, jam there weaponry, blast them away or pick up objects to throw at them. Magic.. its yours to be used.

I constantly read and hear people whining about the GOW storyline. Most say that it has NO storyline! GOW has great storyline but some parts are only told in the Destroyed Beauty book in the Special Edition game.

People have to remember that before E Day there was a war between the human countries called the Pendulum Wars, wich lasted 79 years. The wars were over the Immulsion under Seras crust and the events led up to E-Day.

On E-Day when the Locust came they killed 1/4 of Seras population and took over in under 24 hours. Following this the survivors were directed to Jacinto Plateu , a safe haven from Locust emergence, (possibly too hard for Locust to break through??) those who did'nt make it to the plateu were stranded hence the name Stranded. The Coalition of Ordered Goverments (C.O.G) became the leaders of the surviving population.

COG counterstriked with Scorched Earth, a tactin in which they lasered the rest of Sera in hope of destroying the Locust, they only managed to stop Locust using Seras facilities.

Then events lead up to Gears of War after 14 years of Locust trying to breach Jacinto Plateu. Gears numbers are dwindling and GOG enlists the old,young,sick and fit to fight the Locust.

I don't know about you but I am so excited about the sequel!! What will they add to this storyline??
