I'm not trying to start any wars here, but i'm just saying that I have played both, and graphics wise, PS2 is not as crisp. The Gamecube edition has way more depth, plus the sound also seems a little scarier on the Cube

got both versions, PS2 graphics for it are actually not bad for a ps2, still the original GC version is better. I still have to unlock Seperate ways, thats why i got the ps2 version.

did re4 on the gamecube have the extra modes?

Yep, the Gamecube version is far superior imo. One of the big reasons is lighting, just look at how vastly different the lighting effects are during that rain storm where all those freaky ass dogs attack you. You can only see when the lighting strikes, now that was scary. The PS2 version lacked this completely.
Plus the water effects were 10x better on the GC.

Yeah ive played both and the Gamecube version is far better. the graphics, lighting, controls, framerate, number of ememies on screen etc.. Its good for the PS2 but the Gamecube Comes out on top by a mile.
