1.final fantasy7 great game has a really good character cloud strife and has a great story line.
2.final fantasy9 another great game however not as good characters.
3.final fantasy10 still good but i think it misses some of the old features however i like blitzball in the game also it is the first final fantasy game on ps2
4.final fantasy 12 better graphics lots of new features and a new fighting system
5.final fantasy 8 a great game with better graphics since ff7 however i didn't like the juntion system

My top five changes depending on the day. Three that are almost always in my top five are Ucharted Waters: New Horizons, Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen, and Bandit Kings of Ancient China. Final Fantasy 5 is often in my top 5. Three more that alternate are FF8, FFX, and Dragon Quest 8 (you might like this one). The first three I mentioned are on the SNES or the NES.

In my opinion, final fantasy VII was the best, i know u said u didnt like th junction system, but i thought it worked really well, plus the card game was awsome!
But (and kill me if you want) i have to love halo, so what it isn't an ff game, it was the best game of its time!
Another of my favourites : Fable, Guild Wars, FF7 and ashamed to say, the pokemon games, i mean come on, best handheld series ever??

X is 2nd best !!!!
VII is 3rd best !!!!
VIII is 4th best !!!!
III is 5th best !!!!
X is 2nd best !!!!

All of them are great games. But VII has the best characters by far.

I love 7, 8, and 10. Probably in that order. I've got 12 and still haven't finished it. I should probably get around to doing that!

Same here, but I've grown to dislike the modern FF games now. There getting more futuristic year by year, all except IX of course. Here's how I'd list my top 5 (ones i've currently played)
1. Final Fantasy IX
2. Final Fantasy X
3. Final Fantasy III
4. Final Fantasy VII
5. FInal Fantasy VIII
