I would recommend renting both of them.. Fallout 3 is not your standared RPG it can be played in 3rd or 1st person views and there is no turn based attacks, I hate Turn Based RPG like Final Fantasies.. But I loved this game! It friggin huge!! and the DLC makes it even HUGER!!! lol.. Prototype.. Simply awesome, what I've played of it, and so what if it's little hard here or there!! Gives you challenges you can get your moneys worth!! Have you played Spider-Man Web of Shadows,, that is the graphics and similar control and gameplay, just much more violent.. or Tthe Incredible Hulk (the movie) very much like that one too. Both games are sandbox (open world) and you don't have to follow a certain path, heck you don't even have to complet any missions if oyu don't want.. I spent an hour just running around killing things in the first part/chapter of Prototype!! Both games you do need to build your characters. Replay value...Fallout wins that one for now.. Like I said rent them first... but if your like me.. you 'll end up buying both!! Hope that helps!!

Fallout 3!!

I haven't gotten it, but I'm getting ready to when the Game of the Year edition drops with all the DLC for the PS3.

I don't know if this version is coming to 360, but if it is, you should definitely wait and save your money so that you can get a bunch of DLC for free.

I've got both, like jeffmclark1973 said, they are both worth playing. I'd give Fallout 3 an edge above Prototype though because there were some parts that annoyed the hell outta me. Fallout 3 is an amazing game that everyone should play. Heck, I wasn't in to RPGs too at the time either but I've come to respect the genre. Get it, you won't regret it.

both games, it really depends on what types of games you like more.

I think you will have a great experience with both. Fallolut 3 is my XBOX 360 favorite game right now and I spent 102 playing it and I think I still needed to play it a little more. Add some great DLC and you have a great game that will last you a lot.

Fallout 3, it lasts a lot longer, and has a LOT more replay value. I've spent a couple hundred hours on it already. It also isn't your average RPG, yes there is leveling up and the such, but it feels more of a FPS or 3rd person shooter than an RPG, so I HIGHLY recommend it to you, cause you'll have a lot more fun with it, combat is brutal and the game is bloody, and it's always fun watching a person's head get sniped off in slow motion in VATS mode. The world is extremely big as well, and finding new places is always rewarding. The game isn't too difficult, since you can change your difficulty level whenever, but the higher up levels are really a challenge. Some of the Achievements are pretty easy to get, others not so much. So yes, get Fallout 3 for its extremely fun gameplay, tons of replay value, tons of collectibles to find, and so, so, so much more, and with all of the DLC's out, it's definitely a must buy. It's also my favorite game ever created, but if you're interested read my review under my list of reviews for it, and debate for yourself, and if you have any questions just ask me.

Get Fallout 3.

Well, I don't like RPGS, and Fallout 3 seems to be the only one I can appreciate. Maybe because it's set in the future and I can't appreciate oldern RPGS or JRPGS. Prototype is a little expensive at the moment so I'd get Fallout first then Prototype.

Hard decision. I've been looking at Fallout 3 a bit and it looks pretty cool. I also want Prototype too. IDK, I guess I'd get Fallout 3 cuz Prototype is mainly like a M rated Hulk but hey it's ur choice.

I've only played Fallout 3, though from what I've heard about Prototype, I'm going to give a blind suggestion for Fallout, anyway.

it depends what u want Prototype got 8.5 if u want to mindlessly kill infected then prototype if u want a great RPG which is also a great shooter than Fallout 3

Prototype. Its REALLY fun. No really hard parts, but you will need more than one try to complete some missions, and you won't care for the graphics, trust me. I played it on the pc all in Low and around 20-30 fps and enjoyed

If you really want both I'd say; go for Prototype right now. Fallout 3 is getting a great GOTY edition later this year
