This is the showdown of the best fighting game of this generation between 4 of the biggest fighting franchise in gaming. It will have a few parts to it so here we go and I hope you realise this is only part 1. There will be 3 or 4 parts. I think I will do it of which game has the modes,online,gameplay,innovation,unlockables and graphics. So there shall be alot of catergories. Hope you enjoy this can't be done in one blog so it will be a few blogs. The contenders are Street fighter 4,Super Smash Bros Brawl,Soul Calibur 4 and Tekken 6.

Graphics

Lets start off with the earliest of the fighters Super Smash Bros Brawl. I am rating it on the system its on and to say its a Wii game it is mighty impressive the detail on certain characters makes it lovely to look at. The cut scenes aren't half bad either.

Soul Calibur 4 I would say in terms of graphics it is quiet nice but not the massive leap forward. The characters look okay and the cut scenes do look good.

Street Fighter 4 is next I think the graphics are absouleltly amazing on this game good backgrounds. I have always been a fan of cel shaded sort of graphics and they are nice. Ryu and Ken look awesome with their character models and the ultra combos expression on characters add something special to the game. Cut scenes aren't the best but they are alright.

Tekken 6 Well the graphics feel dated and not much different from a PS2 Tekken title. You could say well it was announcd in 2005 but come on this is next gen and compared to its fighting game rivals it doesn't compare.

Modes

Well Super Smash Bros Brawl has loads. The Classic Mode,Adventure Mode,All Star,Brawl mode,Multiman mode,Break the Targets,Event Mode,Boss Battle and Training mode. That is alot to keep you hooked for the game. Alot of depth the game has. The modes are all good fun apart from the Subspace Emissary.

Soul Calibur 4 well there's Story mode,vs mode, Arcade mode,Tower of the lost Souls is the longest by far and best,Musem Mode and Survival I think and Training mode. The story mode is incredibly short though.

Street Fighter 4 it has alot like Arcade mode,Training mode,vs mode,Challenege mode which has Time Attack Normal and Hard,Character Trials Normal and Hard and Survival Normal and hard. It is rewarding as well because you can send you hard mode time attack and survival mode to the online leaderboard.

Tekken 6

Well there's Campaign mode,Vs Mode,Training mode,Survival mode and Character Customization mode. So not that many modes and the main mode Scenario Mode is very dull and if you want trophies then you will have to deal with the pain of playing through it.

So the results are 1st Super Smash Bros Brawl,2nd Street Fighter 4,3rd Soul Calibur 4,4th Tekken 6

So after the first part this are the scores for each game

1st place a tie between Street Fighter 4 and Super Smash Bros Brawl both with 7pts

3rd is Soul Calibur 4 with 4 pts

4th Tekken 6 with 2 pts

There are still a few catergories to go such as gameplay,online,characters,unlockables and replay value. So stay tuned. I would like to hear your thoughts if you think I have been harsh on one of them or to nice to one them then say something I shall respect your opinions. I haven't played Virtual Fighter 5,Dead or Alive 4 or Blazeblue Calamity so I can't put them in the showdown but I am sure they are good.
