2009 is coming to a close and while I don't have every game on my wishlist I certainly do have more than expected. I mean at the start I only had Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 4 to look forward to.

While Street Fighter 4 was a massive surprise in terms of the fact that I wasn't expecting much from it the game certainly has entertained me alot whereas Resident Evil 5 didn't. Don't get me wrong it was a good title but it felt dated. I actually ended up trading the game in because I got bored of it.

Summer was pretty quiet for me with no stand out titles but I got Wii Sports Resort because me and the whole family love to play it whenever we are together so we got Wii Sports Resort and I was actually satisfied with the game. While I only play it with the family I still get joy out of doing it. I also got Grand Slam Tennis but that was boring and I traded it in.

Now onto September and things started to really pick up. I played Batman good game but far from the best of the year. Also September I managed to import the upcoming Mario and Luigi Bowser Inside Story on the Nintendo DS. The game is the best in the Mario and Luigi series in my opinion check my review if you want to know how good it is.

October was another great month and possibly the arrivial of the biggest game of the year Uncharted 2 Among Thieves. I was determined to play both to see how massively different number 2 was from number 1 and I saw it easily. Everything just felt better by miles and the combat and the story and basically everything else made it stand out as a big name title and possibly my Game of the Year. I shall be doing my top 5 games of the year after Zelda comes out. Also I got Tekken 6 being a a huge fan of Street Fighter you would probably think I was a little harsh but I saw nothing special in the game at all. The combat felt slow, the online sucked and most importantly it remained a button masher and felt last gen. Don't get me started on the single player it makes the Subspace Emissary seem entertaining. So I traded it in.

November another big month so far and not a bad month for games. I ended up getting Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time and shall I be honest I had a great time playing it and I shall betrying to get all the upgrades,weapons and skill points when I have done other games. Being a fan of soccer as well I got Fifa 10 for the PS3 and I like that alot. Soccer or Football which ever regioin you come from. In England where I live that sport is well loved and Fifa 10 is great. Also the news New Super Mario Bros Wii what can I say another gem from the beloved plumber I have in fact already reviewed the game and rated it very highly. Best game since Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii. I love 2D Mario sidescrollers.

I am currently waiting for Zelda Spirit Tracks for the DS which looks better than Phantom Hourglass. I aren't saying Phantom Hourglass was a bad game it was a good title but I expected a little better but Spirit Tracks should be good and with the way the Zelda series is it should do. Also in terms of downloads I downloaded Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix which is an updated version of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. I am currenlty waiting for Super Mario Kart on the Virtual Console its already out in the US and Japan so hopefully Europe will have it by the end of the week. I know the God of War Collection is out in the US but I don't think its coming out in the UK till 2010 so I was a bit dissapointed in that but when it does come out I shall be getting it.

So I just thought I'd give you an update of the 2009 games I have gotten so far and I am showing you how 2009 had been a little slow for me at the start with games but has ended very well. Sorry for it being along blog.

With it being out for just over 3 years now I thought I'd do a countdown regarding my top 5 games on the consoles. The list will include a few ports from the Gamecube but I hope you like the list. I am adding images seeing as you like them. They will be either in game screenshots or box arts. Anway hoe you like the list. I am also doing this to show the Wii does have some must have titles too because of some say it lacks top quality games but that is not the case it has some awesome games and these are some of its finest I think.

5.New Super Mario Bros Wii: We all thought there was gonna be a DS follow up but what we got was a sequel on the Wii. The game is simple 2D Mario taking a few elements out of the past 2D masterpeices Mario Bros 3 and Mario World plus adding something completely new itself in 4 player co- op This game is a heck of alot of fun, In single player its great and in multiplayer its frantic. A big fan of 2D sidescrollers and this appeals to both audiences a casual playing with an experienced player makes it a worthwhile experience.

4.Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition: It's a remake I know but come on how can I not include this masterpiece. One of the best games of last gen plays even better on the Wii. The Wii controls work perfect. Reloading and aiming are easier and so is targetting plus it has the extra content from the PS2 version which is aweome.The game has such a good pace to it and to make things better you don't need to play a previous Resident Evil to enjoy this because it is totally different to 1,2 and 3 Whatever version you have of this game your gonna love. PS2,Gamecube or Wii it had to be there somewhere.I played this game after completing Resident Evil 5 and I still loved number 4 much more.

3.The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess: So what if this game didn't meet the expetations overall this game was a masterpeice. It was as close to Ocarina of Time as you got and the fans demanded that well most did anyway. The gameplay went well with the Wii controls of course they could have bee better but given the time Nintendo had they did a good job. The wolf sections are dull and the difficultly is pretty easy and of course the little bit of been thee done that in games like Ocarina of Time. Taking everything into account though this a Zelda game and the series always creates some of the best games ever and this falls into that catergory. Excellent story a few cool new items like the Double Clawshot and the Spinner are cool and a bit darker than previous games. An epic game and it feels great to play again and again. It isn't the best Zelda but it certainly is a nice edition to the series. A good swansong for the Gamecube and a perfect launch game to get for the Wii.

2.Super Smash Bros Brawl:Super Smash Bros Melee was awesome but Brawl is better. The mount of content is staggering. You can play it with 4 friends and virtually have a blast. The roster is even bigger than before and some additions are nice like Olimar,MetaKnight and King Dedede. Some 3rd party characters made the list Sonic and Snake. the Subspace Emissary sucked I will agree and the online lags alot but the amount of content is staggering. You can build your own stages,take photos and send replays to friends on your friends list. New items like the Samsh Balls are worthy editions. The music is awesome sometimes I just go to the sound test to listen to the tunes from the likes of Mario,Star Fox,Zelda and Smash Bros itself. The game has 4 controllers types but most will play with the standard Gamecube controller. Got 4 friends or a massive amount of friends and want a good party game to play get this and lay the smack down to them in 4 player mode.

NOW MY NUMBER 1 GAME ON THE Wii IS

1. Super Mario Galaxy: If you have a we you owe it to yourself that you own this game. Super Mario Galaxy has everything you want. Variety,good level design excellent controls and most importantly it is fun. The Mario games are known for theircrazy power ups and the Bee Suit,Boo Suit and Ice Flower bring something completely new. They are fun to use. The Spring is my least favourite in the game. The gameplay is exceptional. You point and pick up star bits to feed to Lumas to access new levels. Youshoot off Star Launchers to see the wonderful world and you use pull stars to get to other areas. Running upside down on planets is awesome. The gameplay is well excuted the only flaw is its not that hard but maybe thats what makes it such a good game. You ride Sting Rays,get blown in a bubble and ride rolling mouse balls containing a star and all seem to be pulled off flawlessly. The music is some of the best ever. Well Orchrested and well composed. Some of the levels have excellent scores like Gusty Garden,Buyo Base,Good Egg Galaxy have excellent musical scores to the theme of the leveland they all fit nicely. Your moves are basically the same as Mario 64 you can jump on enemies and ground pound but mostly a new move the spin attack will see you deflecting projectiles back at them or makng them dizzy. You know I could go on for a while talking about how amazing Super Mario Galaxy is the gravity and spherical worlds to the excellent new power ups to the great use of the controls. This game is one the finest games ever and not only my favourite Wii game but best game this gen.It's in fact the only game I'd give a perfect 10 to this gen. It's that good that its getting a sequel. The 1st 3D ario to get a sequel.

I know I left the likes of Okami and No Mores Heroes out of my list well for a few reasons. I didn't really like Okami that much and I have never played No More Heroes but that is my top 5 which I hope you like.

Also can I say the Wii does have some good titles in 2010 and beyond coming out like No More Heroes 2,Red Steel 2,Mario Galaxy 2,Pikmin 3,Metroid Other M and Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Also there's Zelda Wii but we have no info yet and seems possibly a 2011 release.

I can't believe I ignored this but here we go my review of Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story if you want my full review check my reviews. This review is gonna be much different to my review I posted on the reviews section. So if you want to see that then check it out.

Story

Well Fawful is the main villain and he disguises himself and gives Bowser a Vaccum Mushroom after been defeated by the Mario Bros and he blows most of the Kingdom citzens in. Mario and Luigi have to work from inside at the beginning but later they can enter the normal world.

Gameplay

The Mario Bros have to help Bowser in certain situtations like make him eat faster,give him more strength and most of all get his fire attack working. The bros gameplay is virtually the same as before but they do have the ability to heal in battles through badges but they need to require excellents to get a bar to full that comes later in the game. It could make it a bit easy that. The specials are awesome because you can pracitce them countless times before you take them into battle and some are awesome moves as well like feeding Luigi alot of food to make him a massive size and also jumping out of barrels. Some enemies can be easy to work out their moves after a while so it won't take to long to figure when to dodge. You also get this new item called a Retry Clock which has you at full health and Bros power so you don't have to go all the way back from the last save if you get knocked out but you might only want these for bosses and there aren't many Retry Clocks around. So when you run out you have to play from the last save spot. You get items like Socks and different kinds of pants to help you characters defence or offense in battle. A critcism I would have is this game can be a bit generous with coins because unlike Superstar Saga you can have sometihng like over 15,000 whereas I never had that much in Superstar Saga.

Bowsers gameplay is probably as fun as Mario and Luigis. He seems to take the limelight and why not. Bowser is awesome. He has such funny lines and gets mad countless times. He does end up fighting the Mario Bros a few times. His attacks are he can hide in his shell for protection on falling enemies or punch them. He has a fire breathing attack which takes out all the enemies and a regular punch. Another attack is his vaccumm attack and this is important because some little enemies need it because one can bring another enemy back into play. By sending them into his mouth Mario and Luigi get the oppotunity to finish it off and he also gets little items called Bitties from some. If you get all the Bitties you get a secret move. Bowser also gets specials and he uses attacks like Goombas,Boombs,Shy Guys and others and they require using the stylus. When he is massive he must take out these things like castles and such but they don't all require just smashing them with a punch. There is one section where he has to knock someone into the water to get the chance of doing some serious damage. You use the Stylus,Mic and turn the DS the other way round as to the way you would usually play it and these battles are simply awesome and the games main highlight.

Graphics and Sound

The graphics are some of the nicest on the DS. Bowser has never looked as good before. The music is your traditional catchy Mario so expect to hum a few songs in your head.The tunes aren't anywhere near the likes of Super Mario Galaxys legendary orchrastred music but they are good tunes in this game. The graphics are colorful and lovely you shall love the graphics you can certain see the improvements over its predesscor. It is funny also with Luigi as well and Bowser giuving us some laughs and Fawful well he's just one of the best Mario villains ever and his lines are still awesome like from SuperStar Saga he had I HAVE FURY and Fink Rat. He says in this I HAVE CHORTLES.

Lastabitly

To say its a DS game it is quiet a big adventure about 15 to 20 hours of gameplay and maybe a bit more when trying to look for secrets.

I would definetly recommend it in my opinion. The game does seem not as hard as Superstar Saga but it feels to be better in my opinion. The gameplay is top quality. It's not a hard game to master and it has that Mario magic to it that most have. It still has the comedy parts to which shall make you laugh. An awesome game if not the hardest in the series. Another masterpiece I would say from Mario but in this game he does seem be overshadowed by Bowser in terms of the main character but he still plays a key role with his brother. I highly recommend this game to any RPG and Mario fan out there.
