So it happened to me again. Impulse buying can really be a dangerous thing. This time, however, i made out on the better end of the situation. I was able to pick up 3 fairly high quality games for a hella discount.
Let me start by saying that eBay can be a very very evil place if you aren't careful. At the same time, you can find some very good deals on there if you look hard enough and bid smart. In my case, I was neither looking hard or being smart. I just happened to take on a nonchalant attitude when searching. I ended up finding Left 4 Dead at a very reasonable price starting off...$10 i think was the starting bid. So in a ho-hum fashion, i decided to make a bid on the game and put my max bid to be $30. I felt like that was a reasonable price for a used and dated game, and if i didn't win the auction then i wouldn't be to disheartened. Besides, i had been getting outbid on everything else i was trying for so it only seemed natural to adopt a so what attitude at this point. Well, i guess the stars were lined up correctly because nobody decided to outbid me this time. I was able to pick up L4D for $30.
Street Fighter 4 was the next game i picked up. This one, i just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I just happened to be looking on gamestop.com for Fable 2 prices and noticed that they had SF4 marked down...for NEW copies!!! $20 for a brand new copy of SF4? Yeah, you read correctly. I had to pick it up since i obviously was not going to find the game anywhere else new for $20. The only crap part about this purchase is that the gamestop web site is not very smart when it comes to signing up new people. I had to go through the headache of trying to differentiate my billing address from my shipping address which resulted in them taking over 2 weeks to ship my game out. Oh well, i suppose.
The last game i picked up was Saint's Row 2. This was actually the best deal of the trio. Someone from work told me about a special going on at the local Movie Gallery store. They were advertising any pre-played game that was marked to be sold for $30 and under would be rung up for only $5. Sounds promising? Well yeah, but i was told the information a day before the deal was ending so it was a safe assumption that most of the games had already been picked over. Good thing curiosity got the better of me because i went to look regardless. So going up to the store and looking through all the leftover games, there wasn't much to choose from as far as good games go. They had the Halo's and the GoW and all the rest, but they were all still above the $30 mark. I was pretty certain there wouldn't be anything there, however, on my last browse of the games, i noticed that they had copies of Saint's Row 2 and they just happen to be $29. Score! I really enjoyed that game when i was renting it and to be able to buy it for less than what i rented it for was pretty sweet.
So i am a happy goose right now. I have been playing the crap out of all of my purchases and have really been surprised by L4D since i'm not really a FPS player. That damn game is fun!
That's all for now people

1st off congrats on those good game finds. I've bought all my games for less than $35 from somewhere, I just can't find the time to play them all. I haven't started on Fallout, Oblivion, Saints Row, Saints Row 2, GTAIV, Dead Space I'd still like to find time to play GTAIV, Orange Box, Bad Company, Mercenaries 2, I've spent so much time with Fable 2 and the Gears universe. I've had the chance a few times to get L4D, but I've always passed on it due to me worrying I'm not gonna enjoy it as much as I could. I've heard a lot of hate and a lot of love for the game. I'm still up in the air about it

Great purchases, man $20 for a copy of SF4; now that's awesome.

@Kibosh23 - L4D definitely turned out to be a lot more enjoyable than i was expecting, especially considering i don't really like FPS. The enjoyment factor actually goes up even higher when double teaming it with a friend

Well, sounds like I might want to reorganize my buying priority, let L4D slip in before Arkham Asylum Batman, (personal rule to not spend more than $35 for a game.)
