Those who know me know just how much I hate this game. "Wut r u taking abowt its the best zelda evur" is the expression I'm getting from people here, and it's why I hate it.
It's not the actual game itself, but the REASON. People are always talking about how "awesome" it is. Music? Practically isn't even there, with only a few actually standing out tunes, although those do count as good, not nearly good enough. Graphics? They weren't THAT great, even for it's time. And here comes the ticker: Plot. So many people say that the plot is grate, but what the heck does that mean? Little boy saves tree, kills a lizard, a jellyfish, becomes and adult, saves his old village, finds out he's not the same species as his homies, saves the Gorons and Zoras again, kills a drum player, kills his enemies mothers (or whatever), then goes and seals his enemy in the sacred realm.
HOW IN THE HELL DOES THAT CONSTITUTE A PLOT OF EPIC PROPORTIONS? There's no character development, there aren't any plot twists (the thing about actually being a Hylian doesn't count), and it certainly lacks simple longitivity. Just how does this game get such good ratings, ESPECIALLY while it's younger (and BETTER) brother Majora's Mask sits there and is attacked for no reason, despite being infinitely better. It had better gameplay, certainly better graphics, and it had a PLOT. Not to mention the music was SO atmospheric compared to OoT's. I just can't make sense out of this...
